Very quiet room, way at the end of the hall. Really a very large facility with amenities for exercise, swimming were a bonus.

The place was great in theory; the staff were friendly, the setting was nice; there was a nice gym and pool; but I was quite disappointed with a few things, especially for the price. The window in our room was very thin and one could hear everything outside during the night. I left a sign for room service on the door at about 9am and when I returned at 5pm the room has not been touched, and my colleague had to go find somebody to ask for new towels and for our bins to be changed. The shower was cracked or broken and water was leaking all over the floor each time it was used. There was not even a tap to fill a water bottle in the lobby and one had to go and ask the bar staff to fill it up (the bar wasn't open in the morning). I asked for a pint of a particular beer and the keg was gone (which is no problem), but when I asked the bar man if the keg would be changed that night he said it 'probably wouldn't be tonight' because there was no one to cover him, even though there was less than 10 people in the bar and plenty of staff coming in and out. The next night, I asked for a pint again and it was the same story. When the price is factored in, these little problems start to add up and I would not consider staying there again when one could have a stay of the same quality somewhere else for cheaper.

The room was clean, however it is definitely not a four star hotel as advertised. The room we booked was a superior double and we got a very big room with a double and a single bed which for a romantic getaway really isn’t it. The room was very outdated and in my opinion not worth the money. Location wise - also not ideal as you would still need to drive everywhere or take a taxi.

The room was clean and well serviced every day with fresh towels and some days a tablet of soap was provided. Unfortunately our experience in the restaurant was not so good; the staff were so busy clearing and laying the tables they didn’t have time to ask what we wanted; on only one day out of four were we asked if we would like to have eggs cooked. Also the hygiene standards weren’t good. The dining room needs refurbishing and lacks ambience. We noted that the stairs are poorly lit.

Beautiful place

Convenience of location to the latin quarter and salthill. We took uber taxi's that were super convenient to getting around. The hotel is beautiful. We loved the leisure club amenities there.

Nice hotel out of town.

Very lovely hotel a bit out of town which is an advantage. We used a taxi to go and come from the city for about 10 euros. Very nice breakfast.

We had a nice big room with a view of entrance and parking lot. The hotel is a bit dated. The jacuzzi and sauna were being maintained so that was disappointing. The bus into the city center was easy to catch. The breakfast was not great. One day there was a huge group in the dining room for breakfast. Service was bad that day. The omelet was totally over cooked- brown on outside and missing key ingredients. The staff in DR were young and inexperienced -In a hurry to grab plates before we were finished. The food in the bar was mediocre and served very slowly.

The 3 of us stayed here for 1 night. We needed to visited a few places in town and the receptionist Rebecca was excellent and rang the taxi rank and mentioned all our destination's and made it so easy for us, we also dined in the bar and it was so tasty, room 401 was spacious and the staff. We’re so kind even at breakfast. would stay here again 100%, felt like a home from home, when back to Galway - Angela 🌻
