I had a car outside hotel. I told the young blonde girl I had 2 rooms reserved, but was there early. I told her I’d like to hold my bags at desk until room was ready. My friend was there and would check bags. . Where should I park? She told me she had no parking. She Suggested parking nearby. I left. Then my friend AGAIN told her we were checking in. Ahh she said, we have recommended cheaper lots. Well.. would be nice to know. I parked in E24 lot when she had E10 lot only available to hotel guests. I was very clear I was a guest with 2 booked rooms. What a bad listener she was. I am educated American with no accent. I speak clearly. She didn’t listen. You have a Great hotel. Wonderful room, amazing bar. Terrible desk clerk. Get better help please.

Great location to get the bus to Aran Island ferry and to get the bus to Dublin Airport. Breakfast was very good as was the service. It is not a luxury hotel but none the less we enjoyed our stay.

The manager Niell was very friendly and helpful making technology work and recommending things to do and see in the area. The connected restaurant was beautiful and good. I would come here again.

Ok Hotel

The Skeffington is in a busy area with bars, restaurants and shopping. That made it convenient. The parking is tough. The car park is a few blocks away and pretty busy. The hotel could use some serious updating. The manager Nile is fabulous! He answered all our questions and is just as nice as can be.

The hotel was very charming and in a wonderful location - walkable to everything with a restaurant attached. The staff, especially Niall was absolutely incredible. Top notch service and extremely helpful in navigating the city. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved it here. The only thing that was an issue was while we were showering, the water would constantly kick into SUPER hot water and burnt us a few times. Other than that we were happy with everything!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was walkable to area restaurants, shops, and pubs. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. Above all, the staff were outstanding.

Great location but photos misleading. Its really a hotel next to a great pub, with rooms over pub and music until 2 am. That all was manageable but when i pulled back the curtains in our tiny room, the insides were covered in mold and the air conditioner also was. I dont know how this hotel got high reviews.

Absolutely amazing room! Staff was incredibly friendly- esp Sioban, who called before our arrival to make sure we knew where to park. The bar downstairs was fun as well with a great band and lots of energy . Would definitely recommend!

If you want to actually be able to sleep at night, don’t stay here. There’s loud music every night to 1am or 2am in the morning. If you’re in Galway to party, then this is the place for you.

Pleasant stay.
