When we arrived to our destination in Gavelston Texas we found our VRBO disgusting. We found multiple hairs and stains on the “clean” master bed, all the towels were wrinkled and looked like they just picked these up from the floor and hung them back. Contacted the host and was told that he would have sheets delivered to us that night-it NEVER happened. The next day we called the host again and he NEVER answered. Contacted VRBO trying to get our money back and ended up on the phone for 1 hour and was told money would go to our Venmo account- it NEVER did. We decided that staying here was not acceptable and ended up leaving our VRBO which was our honeymoon spot. The host NEVER called back. We texted the host to let him know we have left and wanted money back- he texted back saying he would give us money back ONLY IF WE BOUGHT NEW SHEETS FOR HIS UNIT. Other notes on the condo- the condo was advertised as beach views but should be advertised as RV park view, the elevator to reach the 3rd floor unit with our luggage was SKETCHY and ended up using stairs due to not feeling safe. The photographer for the listing was phenomenal because the pictures looked better than the actual room. We are HIGHLY dissatisfied. HIGHLY disappointed.
