Destination Pointe is a freshly renovated condo at Pointe West on Galveston Island, TX. This luxurious 3 bedroom, 3 bath is a relaxing beachside condo which has fantastic unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico and of Galveston Bay. The unit's perfect location is only a short walk to the beach and the Pointe West Beach Club which boasts an Infiniti edge pool, hot tub, restaurant, bar, gas grills, fitness center, game room and gift shop. There is also a charcoal grill available for your use steps away from this unit.
The unit has been completely redone and features a modern, fully equipped kitchen, flat screen TVs are in the living room, master bedroom and second bedroom the free WIFI and HD cable. The master bedroom has a king size bed, a queen size bed in bedroom two, and the third bedroom has bunk beds and a full-size bed for the extended family. A queen sleeper in the nook by the kitchen is also in the unit for use by the guests during their stay. Destination Pointe is equipped with a full-size washer/dryer, bath towels are provided, and all beds are dressed for your party.
The unit has a large balcony that is accessible from both the living room and master bedroom. The balcony is furnished with comfortable seating to relax and enjoy meals or your favorite beverages.

Bay to Beach Properties provides paper towels, toilet paper, large & small trash bags, dish soap, dishwasher pods, laundry pods, fabric softener sheets, hand soap, body wash, shampoo, coffee, coffee filters, and basic spices in each unit.
Pointe West is an exclusive resort community on the western tip of Galveston Island. The beaches are cleaned and groomed regularly, and they are by far the best on the island.

You will be approximately 30 minutes from downtown Galveston (The Strand), Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens, Pleasure Pier and all the other great attractions of Galveston. Major grocery stores are located 20 minutes away, so we recommend guests stop on their way in, so they never have to leave their vacation getaway!

WRISTBAND POLICY
The Property Owners Association (POA) at Pointe West collects a wristband fee of $25 per guest for each guest over the age of 4 (children younger than 4 do not pay) for use of the Beach Club and Sunset Pools during your stay at Pointe West. This is a onetime fee during your stay, not a daily fee. No wristbands are required to enjoy the beautiful beaches at Pointe West this fee is only for use of pools, fitness center, and other amenities. A reservation has been made in your name for your rental period at Pointe West. The wristbands are available at the Beach Club reception every day during business hours (9-5 off season, 9-6 peak season). The physical address for the Beach Club is 4161 Pointe West Drive, Galveston, TX. 77554. You do not have to purchase a wristband to enjoy the restaurant/bar at Pointe West. Your reservation will allow you to receive a temporary band to enjoy this business amenity.

The entire experience was fantastic! The management crew made it as easy as possible. The room we booked was in a building with a non-working elevator. They reached out and moved us to a better location, honoring the original price. They responded to all inquiries immediately. Very nice place & check in process was very easy! Communication with property manager was great!They provided plenty of bath towels, paper products, shampoo & etc.for our stay. There were a few things broken in our condo when we arrived which we reported to the property manager with photos who immediately apologized for the inconvenience.View was fabulous from our unit!Negatives: 1. Having to pay additional for the use of the pools but they are nice.2. Not enough tables with umbrellas by the main pool & some umbrellas were not present on round tables or were broken & or wouldn’t go up.3. The fitness center & bathrooms by the main pool were under construction & we couldn’t use them4. The elevator by the lazy River was not functioning to get to the restrooms. Some of our group suffer with knee problems & this made it difficult for them to get to the restroom.5. We could hear the people walking above us at night. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and this location!

Girls trip

Every year my nieces ,my best friend, and myself pick a different location for our girls trip. This year was GalvestonThe place was very lovely. Great view of the ocean. The kitchen was well equipped as well as the the rest of the house. The communication with Mary Alice and Linda was outstanding. They responded quickly with any questions you might have. Spacious Floor Plan, Walk to the Beach

We enjoyed our stay very much! The unit is quiet and spacious, we were thankful to have three bedrooms and three full bathrooms. Great floorplan, especially if you have two families. It was definitely cleaner and nicer than some of the other beach properties we have stayed at. It took us maybe 10 minutes to walk from the unit all the way down to the beach. Easy in and out. We were happy to have a view of the ocean from the property and a spacious (and relatively private) balcony to enjoy the views from. Plus there is another small balcony on the other side!

We had a great stay - the condo was setup well for our friend trip and the pool and beach were great. It is a bit farther from Galveston than we expected but we rented a car so it wasn't a problem. The lazy river was very small but the rest of the facilities were great!

This is the perfect condo and community for a beach getaway with friends and family. The unit was spotless and comfortable. Easy access to the beach or to the main pool at the beach club. The second pool is just a short drive away. We've visited Pointe West three summers in a row - all three of the condos we've stayed in were great, but this was the best of the bunch.

Lovely Large Condo

The Condo was as pretty as the pictures showed, but larger than it appeared. Our family had more than enough room and never felt crowded. Linda and Mary Alice were always responsive and ready to assist with anything we needed. When the refrigerator wasn't cooling as we thought Linda had the appliance repair person text me to explain the setting and how it needed to stay due to the humidity. By the next morning it was cooling as expected. We did have some ant issues, but when I reported it Linda said she would have the exterminator out right away. The property itself was pretty, but not sure I would stay at Pointe West again. This has nothing to do with the Condo anywhere else I wouldn't hesitate. I didn't feel that the Pointe West pool was family friendly and if you weren't an owner it felt as if you were not really welcomed. The distance to the lazy river pool across the way did require driving which we did two nights in a row. We really liked the pool, but once again felt it wasn't family friendly as we had some adults that seemed to think it was their personal pool. Again this has no reflection on Linda, Mary Alice or the Condo and our personal experience. The walk over to the beach was quite a hike and it would have been nice to have a shower at the end of the walk. There is one if you are going to the infinity pool, but not if you are going back to the Condo. The view of the beach was beautiful, but without a fan it wasn't always comfortable on the patio.

We were pleased with the place we stayed and the view. Issues with water being shut down, but that was a city issue. The managers were good to address our concerns promptly. There was a leak above the dryer, but they were trying to remedy situation. Feel the place needs to make the showering system to rinse off sand outside needs to have a sign to make guests aware. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Our overall experience was not great. I am going to preface my statements by saying there were things that we out of the property managers control but there were also things that were within the property managers control that they did not handle during our stay. Out of control: -There was a water main break on the island. For most of our stay we had little or no water. -The beach was dirty. There was a tar like substance on the beach that got all over our feet and shoes every day Within control: -The ice maker stopped working on our 2nd day. It was making a very loud noise. We notified the manager the day it started. We were told to adjust the settings on the refrigerator and freezer. 24 later still no ice. A repairman had to come out twice during our week long stay. It was fixed the night before we left. So basically no ice for the week and the horrible noise. We would have appreciated an offer by management (who lives on property) to bring us some ice. -They are having a bug problem. We had both ants and roaches. We notified management who offered to drop off some spray. We had a crawling baby in our party, so bug spay wasn’t a good option for us nevemind the fact that I’m not in the pest control business while on vacation. -We had several other minor issues like laundry left in washer and dryer, leak in the ceiling, etc. On a positive note we enjoyed the beach club. The unit itself was in close proximity to the beach club and the unit stayed cool.

The location was great. The condo had lots of room for the kids to play. We chose to walk to the beach access boardwalk. Should have brought a wagon suitable to take on the beach for all the “beach stuff”. I regret we did not pay the extra money for the club/pool pass, feel like we missed out on some fun. Overall a great place to stay.
