"A casa di Dante" is a charming country cottage in the heart of Salento, surrounded by varied and expansive green spaces ranging from a pine forest to a citrus grove to a rare, native Susumaniello vineyard.

The pool, nestled within this setting, is the jewel that spectacularly completes this property. We have poured all our passion into preserving the unique character of this traditional country home, restoring and preserving objects, memories, and flavors of a bygone era: the perfect place for your stay in Salento, where “Experiencing Rural Luxury” is our philosophy and your reality.

“A Casa di Dante” is the ideal starting point for exploring all of Salento’s most beautiful coves and charming villages.
You can choose from crystal-clear beaches, breathtaking cliffs, explorations of castles and towers, churches and picturesque historic centers, sublime food, excellent wines and pasticciotti, Lecce-style rustici, pitte, friselle, scapece, iced coffee with almond milk (Lecce-style)—in short, plenty of culture (including culinary), history, and traditions.
The property is located just about 3 km from the city center of Galatina, the “Assisi of the South,” known for its Gothic Basilica of Saint Catherine with its frescoes, and for being the birthplace of the “pasticciotto,” which you can find here in every possible variation. About 2 km from the house are the towns of Aradeo and Galatone, which offer supermarkets, bakeries, pizzerias, and restaurants.
Galatina is located in the center of the province of Lecce, making all the area’s sites and attractions easily accessible. The nearest beaches are on the Ionian Sea north of Gallipoli (15 km from the property), where we particularly recommend the coastal town of Santa Maria al Bagno and the sandy beaches of Padula Bianca and Rivabella. The Adriatic coast, on the other hand, offers beautiful sandy beaches (Alimini) north of Otranto, while to the south lies one of Puglia’s most spectacular stretches of coastline, featuring steep cliffs, bays, sea caves, and the Punta Palascia lighthouse—the easternmost point of Italy.

On the sun deck, you’ll find a small sitting area, a table with a parasol, and sun loungers and deck chairs.

Relax in the sun by the pool or seek shade under the canopy of the large walnut tree, with a book and a cold drink.
