Montefiorile is a peaceful hillside hamlet in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, set within one of Tuscany’s most beautiful landscapes. The holiday homes are arranged along a sunny south-facing slope and enjoy sweeping views across rolling hills carpeted with vineyards. Each property has its own private garden or terrace and features traditional terracotta floors and ceilings that reflect the warm, authentic Tuscan style. The layout of the hamlet has been carefully planned so that beautiful views unfold from almost every corner. Mature oak trees provide welcome shade during the heat of the day, while the shared pool offers a refreshing escape. In the evenings, the surroundings become wonderfully calm, with wildlife emerging and stars glittering in the dark sky. Montefiorile is car free, with a large parking area at the entrance, and due to its hillside setting, steps lead to each holiday home. To preserve the tranquil atmosphere, we recommend this hamlet especially for adults seeking a quiet and relaxing holiday.



The picturesque village of Lecchi lies just 1.5 km away and can be reached on foot via a well-maintained, gently hilly path. Here you will find the excellent Ristorante Malborghetto and a small but well-stocked grocery shop. Another charming village within walking distance is San Sano. The medieval town of Radda in Chianti, with shops and good restaurants, is about 8 km away. Set in the heart of the Chianti Classico wine region, Montefiorile is surrounded by wineries offering tastings, including Castello di Ama less than 2 km away and Castello di Brolio, reachable in around 25 minutes by car. Siena, Arezzo and Florence are all great options for memorable day trips.

A most lovely and comfortable valletta on a beautiful estate about 10 miles from the village of Radda in Chianti. Sabina and Annie are lovely and happy to be helpful.The rolling and steep hills of Tuscany dotted with ancient and handsome estates and castles is truly enchanting One can easily imagine what life was like centuries ago in the beautifully preserved villages. This area of Tuscany seems to be off the well beaten tourists’ paths. You must rent a car; we found driving in Italy FUN. However this area is very popular with bicyclists and motorcyclists so you have to be very alert and quickly responsive when driving. Do beware that there is a village about 20 miles away that bears a very similar name to this estate that our Google maps took us to. Tho villages are a fairly close distance the driving time is double due to the very winding, sharp curvey roads.

Tuscany stay

Property is off the beaten track so very peaceful. La Luna was a little small in the kitchen lounge area for 4 people (needs another sofa). Unfortunately we had a few issues that we told the manager about at the end of our stay in the hope that they will be sorted for future visitors. We couldn’t get the tv to work (only wanted to watch Euro football finals!), dishwasher wouldn’t work and the plug sockets were a nightmare with a need for a lot more adapters or extension leads that would fit the plug sockets (there seems to be various types of plugs and sockets in the property). Also there is only one socket in the kitchen area and is directly over the sink which is dangerous (also cannot have microwave and dishwasher on at the same time as it will blow a fuse. There were a few other minor issues that have also been reported. This could be a lovely little property if it was freshened up and the issues all rectified.

Villa agréable, au calme (15 min de voitures pour atteindre le 1er village), belle piscine (attention avec des enfants, le règlement de la piscine est assez strict), region magnifique. Le personnel du bureau sur place est très réactif et arrangeant.
