Great sized apartment, amazing location! Super central and walkable!
Some issues with communication from the staff regarding whether the unit had a safe. We were told twice that there was one and then upon arrival, no safe.
Fully equipped kitchen and having the top unit with the terrace was lovely to relax.
One big issue throughout the apartment was the smell and humidity within it. You notice it everytime you enter and it is very unpleasant. Yes, Madeira is an island and it is humid, however some adjustments to the air flow and cooling system within the unit would go a long way. The bathroom specifically. There were mold spots along the ceiling above the shower and toilet.
The units washing machine works well and having a drying rack is very helpful. However, because of how humid the unit is, some clothing would take 2+ days to fully dry.
The units floors were also somewhat dirty throughout when we arrived and we had to wipe away quite a bit of dust/dirt.
Overall, enjoyable stay and excellent location, some improvements could be made though.
