Very nice traditional Portuguese hotel in the middle of new hi-rise hotels. Two nice pools and a very good breakfast. The location is an easy walk to many things. There a many restaurants and bars as well as parks and the cruise ship terminal nearby.

This is a delightful small hotel very centrally located. Bed was comfortable no carpets on floors thankfully. Staff is very accommodating. Breakfast is done well with a large offering. Swimming pool is beautiful and overlooks the harbor. Easily walkable to the harbor or to Old Town along the water.

The hotel did not have all the modern ‘bells and whistles’, what it did have was a calm, elegant quintessential and colonial charm. I would take this hotel any day of the week over the modern mega hotels in the surrounding area. A perfect location for a gentle stroll into the town with its many bars and bistro. To top it off, they have a bar that has 2 full size snooker tables in great condition (cues and chalk aplenty). Staff are polite and unobtrusive. If you like peace and quiet this hotel is for you. The 2 pools are great and sizeable and can be used all year round. The breakfast included was very good with a wide selection of cooked and continental with great coffee.
