great place ,we drive to/on the beach so we were looking just for a place to stay. this place is nice and is close to the airport beach access. Stairs (steep) could be a problem to eldely or injured. Kitchen has everthing one would need to prepare meals. Place is semi-updated and very clean

The house is a bit dated, with stained carpeting and scuffed walls, but furniture is comfortable and AC window units work well, if a bit noisy. The kitchen and master bath were dirty with food debris and hair, the kitchen counters, sink, and microwave all needed to be scrubbed before use, and there was thick dust on the blinds in the matter bedroom. Bath toiletries ran out within two showers. When locating the propeety, be advised that the driveway does not extend to the street, so you'll need to pull in next door and cut across the lawn. I would not go back, but if you decide to give it a try, book directly with Vacasa and save the VBRO fee.

Love the keyless check in. WiFi was great. Beds were comfy. Kitchen was older, but clean. Could have used a few more things, like measuring cups and a blender. Master bath was huge, but needs towel bars! There is only one hook by the tub to hang a towel. Overall, this property met all our needs and made for a lovely week. Oh, and the grandkids LOVED the Ms Pac-Man machine!

We enjoyed a quick getaway for a couple of nights. House was clean and had plenty of room for family of 4 plus 2 pups. Screened in porch was nice to enjoy the weather. Kitchen had plenty of cookware- all we needed.

Great Value

Spacious 2 bedroom with twin loft. There are 4 window A/C units: Bedrooms (2), Open Loft (1) and Kitchen area (1). Very hot when arrived because maids leave units off, but surprisingly COOL after a some time. Temp was very comfortable and I'm an A/C gal. Towels provided and Bed Made...awesome! Highly recommend.

Fun place to sat on the quiet side of the island

The rental met our needs perfectly and even had a video game machine throwback that was fun for the kids. The unit contained almost everything we needed and less traffic than the other side of Hatteras.

Restful Week

Unfortunately, the first night of our trip began with arriving at the destination and not having our entry code. I searched all email communications, text communications, and finally called the 1-800 to get the information. Initially, the staff was not able to help me. I downloaded the Vacasa app where I was told the info would be - even though I made my reservation on VRBO - and checked the VRBO app. None of these areas had the entry code. After 30 minutes sitting in the driveway, someone finally reached out on the phone with the code. Sadly, no effort was made to reimburse us for the time and frustration. The remainder of our week was pleasant. We cooked many of our meals in the home and it had adequate dishes and equipment to do so - the gas grill was great. The home is older and has a/c window units to keep the bedroom areas cool as well as fans throughout and we were comfortable. The outlets are somewhat wonky where they've tried to modernize them and so our plugged in items wouldn't always stay in the outlet. The Pacman game unit was a hit for our family ... just a nice, classic to return to in our down times. The table was great for board games. There is a Roku TV that we utilized for family movies and shows. The house is not far from many beaches and the Hattaras Lighthouse. There is a pool in the next town up that the rental has access to ... it is at the Vacasa office and so you don't need any sort of HOA pass - but it was freezing! All in all, good.
