Good Experience for the Price, but Needs a Refresh
Overall, I had a decent stay and felt it was worth the price, especially for the location. The hotel is perfectly situated within walking distance to Old Town Clovis, which made our girls' night out super convenient and fun.
The staff was kind, attentive, and very helpful, which made a big difference in our experience.
That said, the hotel itself is older and could use a serious update. The room was cool and comfortable, and I slept well on the main bed, but the sofa bed was dated and worn out. The rest of the hotel felt hot and muggy in contrast to the room.
My key card didn’t always work on the first swipe, which was a minor annoyance. The pool was much smaller than expected, looked a bit cloudy, and had a lot of leaves in it. Security at the hotel could also be improved.
The complimentary breakfast was basic—waffles, eggs, muffins, cereal, yogurt, and biscuits with gravy. It did the job, but don’t expect anything fancy.
Parking was close and easy, which was a nice bonus.
In summary: the hotel definitely needs a revamp, but for the price and location, it was a good experience. I probably wouldn’t stay here again unless some updates were made, but it worked well for this trip.
