The hotel exceeded my expectations. Even though the hotel is older and could use some refinishing it was very quiet and clean. Having stayed at the two higher end hotels in Fremont, I would stay here again before them.

I like staying here because it's quiet and out of the way, but still close to everything. The rooms are nice sized and very clean, and the beds are comfortable. I'm usually traveling by myself and I feel safe here. I'm usually traveling with dogs, and while I don't always bring them in the room, it's nice because there's lots of grassy areas to walk them; you aren't stuck in some small area where everyone is letting their dog potty in the same spot. Some people might not like the fact there is no complimentary breakfast, but frankly the rates are very reasonable, and I don't stay there for a free breakfast. They do have a really cute old-fashioned diner next door, and the food is really good, the service is very good, and you get a discount if you show your room key.

Great guy at the front desk when we checked in. Room was very clean and comfortable. We were a bit worried as the hotel was nearly empty and wondered why. The people we were visiting in Fremont told us the hotel is mainly used to house the railroad workers changing shifts. No issues whatsoever.
