Room was nice and clean. No staff on site to help with questions. We had a hard time checking in and took almost 30 minutes to get it resolved over the phone. If you book through hotels.com make sure you get your check in information in advance since no one actually works at the hotel and can help you.

We came in for a show in Luckenbach. Stonewall Motor Lodge was close and a very cool spot. We loved the revitalization of an old motor lodge. The renovations were well done. It was clean and comfy- the bed slept great. AC worked (maybe a little too well!), great hot water, appreciated the tea pods for the Keurig, and the little roof deck made for a great spot to take in the full moon. Would absolutely stay again. It's close to Fredericksburg without being in the crush of tourists and easy to head to the vineyards and distilleries nearby.

We stayed in the Press Room, #8 for the Aaron Watson concert in Luckenbach. Pros: Good location, right off 290 next to a gas station. Close to wineries, Garrison Bros, Luckenback, Fredericksburg. The air conditioning was great. Clean towels and sheets. Bed wasn’t bad either. Separate kitchenette area. The room itself was a good size for my husband and I. Cons: It’s right off the hwy so you hear the street noise. Walls are thin so we heard our neighbors as well. LOTS OF CRICKETS inside and out. This needs to be addressed ASAP, as they were hopping onto the bed making it difficult to sleep. The headboard needs a DEEP CLEANING. It was very dusty and had hair from previous guests. The decorative pillow had a dead insect and a dried up booger. The volume on the TV stopped working an hour into a movie. It was pretty annoying. Overall, it was okay for an overnight stay. This could be amazing if management paid more attention to those issues that are very important especially since it’s sanitary issues.

The owner personally checked on us and shared the interesting Hx of this carefully renovated 60’s motel. Great attention to the era. This motel was not affected by the 2025 Kerrville floods, but along with other hotels/motels provided free lodging for search and rescue volunteers for this devastated area.

Great location to Elephant Sanctuary and Peaches

The staff was friendly and nice. Called to let us know about a room change. The internet was horrible. We couldn't get online on any device, computer, tablet or phones. I texted the staff about it, and got no reply. There was also what we thought was an inappropriate picture on the wall for a family friendly room (Two people heavily kissing). My son was appalled by the picture, so I took it off the wall. Room was nice and great location to the Elephant Sanctuary and peach orchards. Besides the internet issue and photo (which can easily be fixed by replacing it with another), the place was great.

The property had a unique vibe, loved the updated nod to the retro past feeling of the place. The kitchenette/dining area could have been alottle better equipped, i.e. a larger trashcan and simple supplies like paper towels etc. Overall we enjoyed our stay it was nice quiet place to relax at the end of the day.
