The room itself had a few amenities and was generally clean. However, it gets very hot. The only solution is to open the windows and let in potential sandflies, or ask for one of the couple fans available. The bedding has outlines of sweaty bodies and probably should be replaced.

The facilities at Haka House were very good. The bunk room was clean and well appointed, particularly liked the design of the bunk beds with shelving, lighting, phone charging and a privacy curtain. The additional storage under the bed and in the adjacent cupboard meant the small room was uncluttered. The bathroom facilities were clean, showers lacked towel hooks and shelving for bits n pieces but there was ample hot water, no timer and good water pressure. The kitchen and dining areas were well appointed. Small thing, there were adequate tea towels but they looked a bit grubby. The Staff were universally helpful and friendly. Overall good value for money - great stay.
