This was such a cute boutique hotel. It was clean and well decorated. We enjoyed playing catch with the kids in the field and the views. One note is the beds are a little firm, but look brand new! We would stay again.

We arrived around 10pm for a quick sleep before we hiked the ridge in the morning. This place is a newly renovated motel. Super cute and very clean. It had all the good vibes and it was obvious the owners cared a lot about the place. It's hard to find a decent stay at this price point in the white mountains. I will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommend.

This was a terrific hotel. The bed was super comfortable, And the linens were soft. The bathroom was clean with plenty of good quality fluffy white towels + fabulous smelling soap. The room & the bathroom were tastefully decorated, and the selection of bedside reading was delightful. It was quiet and comfortable and absolutely perfect after a long day of driving and before an even longer day of hiking the next day. I recommend Gale River House without hesitation.

The room was beautifully renovated and decorated, and the bed was sooooo comfy. Unfortunately we had an issue with the shower that was unable to be resolved during our stay. After 2 days of hiking we were looking forward to a good shower, but the water pressure was so weak that it was basically a trickle. It improved slightly later in the day, but was never great. Management contacted maintenance, but didn’t hear back from them in time to get it fixed while we were still there. I would still stay her again, provided the shower issue is remedied!
