In need of some TLC

Arrived at 5pm to a note for check-in and never saw any staff at all. The room was basic but tired and in need of updating. There was a musty smell overpowered by a sweet perfume smell. Bedding and towels clean. Good hot shower. Two cups but only one drinking glass and no teaspoons. ‘Fridge noisy and had to turn off. Could hear shower in neighbouring room. No bedside lights meant getting out of bed to put light on/off. The light outside of bedroom window was bright and on all night. Quiet overnight. Overall if you want a cheap bed for the night it’s ok but don’t expect much.

No milk supplied, tv no working no signal, thin curtains and extra light left on all night, noisy fridge had to be turned off because of noise therefore useless, no air conditioning glade it was not cold!

Would not recommend booking this property if you are planning on traversing hooker valley track as instead of 27km away from this property as stated on their website it is a 6 hr drive as you need to go around the mountain. Property does not take the phone and neither answers emails.

The room we had was great. Very good sound proofing. Spaciou room.Comfortable chairs. Ex bed. Office area was ex. 2 things though - cafe and dining area was closed and our room had only 2 cups, 1 wine glass. Electric jug. No spoons or crockery. Car park weedy and scruffy.

I needed a heart stent put in and management would not let me try another date. Expedia tried to help and could not. I just needed a few days. I am here in NZ now and out of 14 air bnbs and motels and hotels this was the only place that refused to help me.
