I was unable to check in because I am only 20 years old. While this information was stated and I acknowledge that it was my responsibility to notice it beforehand, the situation was still extremely upsetting. After a 13-hour travel day and arriving late at night, being told I could not stay was distressing and disappointing. When I asked the front desk attendant what my options were, specifically about a refund or recommendations for where to stay for the night, I was told that they could not help me, pretty much told me “not my problem”. This response felt dismissive and left me, exhausted, to find an affordable place to stay on my own. I was genuinely disappointed by how rude, unhelpful, and lacking in basic empathy the staff’s response was.
