I liked and recommend the Nevis Bank Inn. it is clean, comfortable, reasonably quiet and the tasteful decoration is in good condition. The staff are agreeable and helpful. I ate at the restaurant both nights I was there and found the food to be a bit expensive but overall delicious. The only drawback I found was that I had to use the overflow parking across the very busy highway in front of the Inn. Still, I was grateful that there was parking. Overall I would gladly book this inn again for a future trip.

Room was clean and modern. Appreciated the in-room coffee and tea options as well as the provided fan. Restaurant breakfast, lunch and dinner options were all really good but pricey. Would stay there again.

The hotel room we stayed in (with twin beds) was in excellent condition, the furnishings looked updated and clean, as was the washroom. The only small complaint there is the shower pressure and washroom fan but overall the stay was so pleasant that it wasn't that big of a deal. The restaurant, Browns, was also great. David at concierge helped us with check in and helped us with any questions we had. He was very kind and helpful and added to our overall wonderful stay in Fort William! Would definitely recommend this place to others.

Clean rooms. The highlight of this hotel was Browns Restaurant (part of the hotel across from the lobby). Very good food and excellent breakfast. Property isn't walkable to the downtown shopping area. Overflow hotel parking lot across the street. Overall, we were satisfied and would likely stay here again.

Nevis Bank Inn Ft. William

The hotel was very nice and clean but there is no lift. Our room was on the top floor on the opposite side of the lobby. Pack light because it is a long carry. The room as large and so was the bathroom. Very little parking at the hotel but we were one of the lucky ones to get a slot. You must get tickets to ride the Jabobite ( Hogwarts) Express. 6 hours of fun! Also this hotel is walking distance to the train station.

Very good location. Walkable to High Street and also convenient for many trailheads. However, no fridge in the room so don't buy any perishable foods. The 1-bedroom suite was quite large and suitable for remote work.

As a senior citizen it was hard to find that they had no elevator. So we had to go up and down a few steps and then up 2 flights. Luckily a waiter was able to carry our suitcases upstairs . The room was good but the mattress sagged in the middle and you could feel the springs. The bathroom was good but had no safety bar to hold onto in the bath/shower . The light/fan was very noisy in there also .. We had a good supper in their restaurant. In the morning check out was easy and we had cheerful help with our bags as the night before

Very nice staff. We really appreciated the air conditioning—it was an unusually hot day, so that was a big plus. The water pressure in the shower was extremely low, which made showering quite difficult; it took me at least 20 minutes. We understand it’s an older property, so we were fine with the small room. However, carrying our luggage up the stairs (no elevator) was definitely a challenge.

A must stay in Fort William

Fort William is a great city with a wonderful old town. Our stay here was nothing but excellent. At check in we received assistance to our room by the friendly staff in the hotel. Our room was clean, quiet and had plenty of space. It had two twin beds pushed together which were super comfortable. The hotel had a restaurant. We had a delicious dinner and cocktails as well as breakfast included in the morning. The service was so wonderful—everyone was friendly and kind. We will definitely stay here again!
