Easy and friendly check in. Feels more like a hybrid fact/hotel hybrid. Rooms were clean and dining area/check in was clean. Wish this had more and hope the area around gets rebuilt to bring more dining options that complement the hotel. The service portion is there- very friendly. Hope century bar and grill or a breakfast location opens nearby.

The staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean and quaint. If you are used to air conditioning, the rooms are cool, each room have individual units. Cooling can be inconsistent. Parking is very limited. Restaurant is closed and no swimming pool. There is a cute courtyard to enjoy your morning coffee. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will come back.

Preserving historic hotels is always a win; but the Holland is due for room updates past the current bar-restaurant-lounge area renovations. Rooms were minimally serviced an d cleaned and staff was hard to find even during the day. Carpet was old, stained and dingy, lamp shades stained, thick dust build up on baseboards and door jams, tub grout mildewed and hardware caked with hard water debris.

This historic hotel is authentic. The bed has the original mattress from when the hotel opened as well as the carpet. The carpet stains matched the couch in the room. The chair needed to go to the dumpster next to the property. The hotel’s website shows the property back in its heyday. It’s been neglected over time. I was very disappointed especially for a $180 nightly fee.

This review is for April 2026. On site restaurant was closed and being remodeled. Construction was ongoing. It would have been nice to eat onsite and not have to drive more after a full day on the road. Staff was very nice and helpful and property was clean. BUT, if you are tired and expect a full night of sleep it is not happening here. Hotel is 100 yds away from a main rail line for that area. Trains run throughout the night, they stop 10-11 pm, two came through 2-4 am and they started one after another at 6. The trains are fine … but the incessant train horns in the middle of the night is unnecessary.
