Awesome property!! Had everything I needed, was very clean, and the location was excellent--downtown Alpine about1/2 mile away. Host provided excellent comms! Overall extremely happy with this place, and I will stay here again!! Highly recommend!

Lovely property in Alpine

Convenient location for rock hunting, hiking in Big Bend, Davis Mountains and Chihuahuan Dessert, and stargazing at McDonald Observatory. Property offers privacy and great outdoor space for relaxing after a long day. We would stay again.

This was a very comfortable and cutely decorated venue. Loved the outdoor space and the bicycles although we did not use them. A few tip. The oven should be cleaned and needs a cookie sheet or broiler pan. We would recommend this place or stay there again

Nicely decorated and very clean. Well supplied kitchen and bath as well as cleaning items. The only difficulty was getting up from the low cushioned couch. A chair with arms would have been a blessing for our elder bones! It was a unique layout with the bathroom separated from the bedroom by the kitchen/living area

Big Bend

Nice 1 bedroom house.Has all kitchen utensils ,with microwave, coffee maker.Bedroom and bathroom are on separate ends which was nice.Had towels and wash cloths.Hide a bed is old which makes it hard to sit on.Right where cushions join there is a sag which makes it hard to sit.All else was pretty much like being home.

The house had not been swept. Directions were wrong. They said to go left when they should have said to go right. Individual staying in the adjacent property had the same issues. Shower was not clean.

Cozy place to stay for a short trip.

We were here for a long weekend to visit our son at the University. The one bedroom house was just what we needed and more space than the hotel we normally stay in. It is an older house but the inside was well kept minus a few dusting issues. We didn’t utilize the kitchen area but it’s there if we wanted to cook. The neighborhood was very quiet and besides the squeaking of the king size bed, we slept well. We did let the owner know the outside door light was out so hopefully it will get fixed. We hope to stay here again in the future.

We stayed here for two nights while visiting the McDonald Observatory in the Davis Mountains. The unit itself was clean, the A/C worked very well, and there was plenty of hot water.There were, however, a few areas that could use some attention. The photos of the back patio are outdated. The space currently has a patio table and a plastic picnic table, but the patio table hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. The umbrella was a nice touch and provided good shade, but there was an empty water bottle and a dirty towel left on the picnic table. One of the fence pickets is also broken.Inside, the kitchen was nicely stocked, but a shelf in the bathroom was wobbly, and there was only one roll of toilet paper provided.Overall, the stay was comfortable, but a few small updates and a bit more attention to detail would make the experience better. Host does not respond to messages left in Vrbo leading up to and during the stay.
