What makes this place wonderful is the peaceful quiet next to the river. Meagan was a great host and seeing her informal sanctuary for goats, ducks, and chickens all living the dream is heartwarming. I REALLY enjoyed kayaking the horse creek (one direction leads to the larger Peace River) seeing Spider Lilies for the first time and I didn’t encounter another soul on the water! I stayed in “the boathouse” cottage and while the shower was tiny the space was neat, clean and had everything needed except a good Wi-Fi signal, albeit I didn’t ask for help so perhaps this could be addressed.

This efficient studio includes AC, electric fireplace, and newer deck all overlooking the Horse River. The setting is quiet and serene with views of chickens, ducks, and goats nearby. We canoed on the river almost to the Peace River as well. We loved the fountain set in the river as well. We were very happy with our stay, and enjoyed friendly chats with Meagan and Mark.

The cabin was adorable. We really enjoyed our stay. The hosts are amazing people. They helped us so much when we forgot or needed something. Even showed me how to catch tilapia!!( my nemesis, Lol) We will definitely be back soon!!
