Our first room smelt terribly of cigarette smoke so we switched and that room was supposedly cleaned. There was no top sheet on the bed and when we went to turn around to go out the first time there was a dead gecko stuck on the wall by the door. There is no way the staff could not have seen that. Then another night there was a large dead rat or something in the walkway on the bottom floor coming back from the tiki Hut. Now the tiki Hut had great service. Really good food. They got a little loud when we wanted to go to bed. Our room was facing them but that can't be helped but the cleaning staff there are terrible. The front desk person was very understanding and very helpful and also the second night in the new room. The couple next to us got in a huge fight in the middle of the night. She must have locked him out and he sat there and kicked and kicked and kicked the door trying to get in and calling her every foul name and word. You can imagine this went on for 10-15 minutes and then finally quieted down. As far as I know, there's no one there. The only front desk person is from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. there was no literature in the room giving us any phone numbers or telling us what to do either. I wanted to call the cops but my husband said no

The hotel room and front desk staff were fine. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The bar area was disappointing. Smoking is permitted everywhere and there were many smokers. Pew! It is also truly a locals bar so the bar tenders were attentive to their regular customers making us wait quite a long time to be served. We liked the live music but stood in the pool area to hear them to avoid the smoking stench. The experience was disappointing because we booked Dolphin Key because they had the tiki area with live music. If you don’t mind a place filled with heavy smokers this is for you.

Bar and Grill was their best feature. A bit rowdy but if that's the vibe you're looking for, it's a fun place to stay. Rooms are fine, it's a motel. However, husband found it too humid

It was ok.

The highlight of my stat was definitely the lady at check-in—super sweet and friendly. The room itself was a bit of a letdown; it had a weird smell, not very fresh, but it was clean enough and did the job since I was only there for one night. I wish I had known there was going to be a band playing, though. At first, I was happy that my room faced the pool area, but that just meant I had to listen to music until almost 10:30 at night. It kind of ruined the relaxing vibe I was hoping for, like reading and chilling out. Also, the pictures online made the place look nicer than it actually was, which was a bit disappointing.
