Beautiful spot!

This unit was wonderful! Newly remodeled and furnished very nicely! The beds are also new and very comfy! We met other tenants that live in the building and they were very nice and helpful. I joined them at night on the beach to watch the beautiful sunsets!

Secluded and natural

The condo itself was beautiful and clean, with great amenities. The pool area was not kept up though. The beach area is not touristy at all. There are roped off sections for wildlife, which we loved. Beautiful sunsets. 5 minute drive to shops, restaurants, grocery store, drug store, and gas stations.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the condo! The owners did a fantastic job providing a fully stocked unit with everything we needed right down to sand toys and beach chairs! The welcome basic from Bret at itrip was also a welcoming touch that we appreciated! We spent time traveling to several beaches only to find that the best shelling experience was had at Castle Beachs private beach!!!! The only thing that left us scratching our heads was that there were 3 conflicting sets of checkout instructions in regards to laundry. We highly recommend the condo and management company!!!

Great view and beach access but very tired inside and needs re-fit

The view and beach location are great. The apartment has been converted from a 2 bedroom to a very small 3 bedroom which has hugely compromised its space and comfort. The kitchen is now in the living room and it seems the units were moved from their previous location at least 10 x yrs ago. The bathrooms also need a total renovation. There are no restaurants within walking distance the closest is 1.1 miles away which can't be walked in the Florida sun. A previous renter complained about the patio door and not latching in January 2019. The management company said they would address it but when we arrived (March 2019) nothing had been done. Overall extremely disappointing - the owner has stated in previous reviews that she is charging a price to reflect the condition but after talking with others renting at the same time, the price we paid is consistent with superior units in this block. We have taken vacations from the UK to the USA more than 30 x times and without doubt this is the worst property we have ever stayed in by a big margin.

Family vacation

Location was great, we have never been to that area before. A little walk from condo to water but worth it. No one hardly there, very quiet. Condo was well equipped with everything we needed. It was my daughter and I and 2 grandkids, ages 7 & 9. Plenty of beach towels, chairs, sand toys and a few more we left and a well needed wagon to put everything in. Loved the grocery cart to bring all our groceries up to unit. Kitchen had more than enough dishes and pot & pans. Many spices and cleaning things probably left from previous guest. Since we were traveling by air we also left some unopened things for next guest like water, butter, Kleenex and even a frozen margarita!! We took a boat ride to see dolphins and went to a small island for shells. Like previous comments, the best and prettiest shells we found were right at our own beach!! Even found sand dollars. Only negative but not even that bad, pool a little small but again no one there most of the time. We also couldn’t get use to no cable TV. I like to listen to local news and weather every morning and night and either wasn’t available or we never figured out how to find it. I would definitely recommend this condo, was perfect for us.

There were a host of pros and cons for this property. The main pro is definitley the location. The beach is fabulous and the unit is located far enough from Ft. Myers Beach to not be congested but close enough to get there quickly when you want to. Also, the trolley service to the beach is great. Unfortunately the unit itself is pretty bad. One “bedroom” is a full size bed with 2 feet around it on 2 sides, no closet and a 2 drawer tiny dresser you can’t get to with your luggage - as it’s the only 2 square feet in the room to put your luggage as you have nowhere to unpack. The twin bed bedroom also has very little room to unpack and only one outlet. The hall bathroom is absolutely horrible. It is moldy and the shower feels like it’s going to collapse when you step into it. The shower is only a 1/4 circle shower and when you open the door to get in the floor outside gets soaked. The kitchen and living areas are fine. The master bedroom and en-suite are fine, although the shower had mold as well and it doesn’t drain well sonyoire standing in a foot of water as you shower. Overall this unit would be ok if you were only planning on using the master bedroom, otherwise it’s not really suitable. Basically the beach is fabulous but the unit needs a total renovation.

An unsatisfactory rental

There were numerous reasons we found the property unsatisfactory including what we felt was a potential security issue. The front window had a broken screen that was jerry rigged with a screw and as a result window had to be forced closed without any additional screen protection. In addition the sliding glass door had a broken latch and could not be locked. There were several other reasons why we were disappointed and felt this rental was unsatisfactory. The furnishings were very shabby and looked like an afterthought from a yard sale. One of the chairs and a whole in the upholstery. They were bare fluorescent bulbs for lighting in the kitchen. The one bedroom in the front clearly look like an afterthought with the bed nearly filling the entire room and a small set of drawers in the corner. The only TV available was through sling TV and was very limited. Although Wi-Fi was available it was so slow that I could not do my work on my computer. The appliances were often not properly cleaned and extremely old. There was no obvious heat despite the fact that the temperatures were going into the 40s at night. We were told after we left that the heat was accessible through the internet(?) but we saw no instructions. There was an indoor antenna on the floor by the sliding glass door with a note not to open the door. It was very clear to my wife and I that the owner has not put the investments into updating this unit for the comfort of the people renting it. I would describe the place as adequate for 6 college students renting this place on a spring break for a place to crash and not much more. I have rented multiple times through VRBO and have never written a complaint. However, this property was far below our expectations given the descriptions, and as I mentioned before, my wife and I felt that our property in the unit would not be secure given the conditions of the windows and doors. It took one week for the owner to get back to me about my concerns. She refused to refund any of our rental costs. She noted that the condo was not "the Ritz Carlton" but felt that her unit was depicted accurately. I strongly disagree.

Great place if you are looking to relax ONLY!

This was a great place for our 5 day girls trip. The place was exactly like it was advertised. Clean and well stocked. The only complaint we had was there was so much traffic. That you could t even get an Uber anywhere. The traffic is non stop! We ended up just walking to the closet bar and hanging out. We did end up getting an Uber our last night there but had to make the reservation in Naples super late… just to avoid traffic I liked the close beach proximity, however wish there was more to do closer. We enjoyed the sunsets every night on the beach. Another complaint was the key to get on the elevator… it’s 2022 your building needs to invest in a keypad! Other than those two things we had a great girls get away!

Area was nice. Construction out front on the road. Never used the pool which was on front side not the beachside. Beach was 4.5 football fields from condo. Next door to lovers key state park. It was across the inlet. Very quiet area with little traffic. Condo was very clean.

Comfortable and Quiet

We came from Western Pennsylvania to spend time with our daughter who lives in Tampa. We wanted alone time with her after being apart for over 3 years. We were looking for comfort and quiet...we got both! The remodeling is fantastic, such a beach feel. I am partially handicapped and at 73 face challenges when we travel. We rented a beach wheelchair to get me to the beach. It is quite the walk to the water, but what a peaceful beach it is. The view from the screened porch is awesome. As a note to those who are older and not steady on their feet, the master shower is beautiful but dangerous. The floor gets slippery when it gets soapy and there is nothing to hold onto. I would suggest a shower mat and a help bar. We have traveled a lot in our lives and this was one of the most beautiful and comfortable condos we have ever stayed in. Thank you for the experience.

Great Condo

We enjoyed our stay at Castle Beach in Ft. Myers. My only complaint was that the beach did not look like it did in the pics. Covered in grass and stickers vs. beautiful raked sand. They were starting the process to remove the grass the day we were leaving.

The condo is on the 4th floor overlooking the beach. Condo is newly renovated and well equipped. It has a small balcony where you can watch sunsets. Entrance is a little confusing.

Clean, Beautiful room! Beautiful view! Quiet, secure place to stay. Was just what we were looking for! The only suggestion I would make, is having a ceiling fan in the bedrooms and living room to help keep the air moving! Other than that, we loved everything about it!

Just What I Needed.

Overall experience was everything we needed. Thank You.. The view was brilliant. The long walk got old, but it lead to a very well social distancing experience as opposed to the beaches shown on the recent news. Georgious condo, beach & view. The noise from construction was quite noticeable. Very surprised about being told we could not use the swimming pool after watching the sunset. It was 700 pm. Really? We paid a LOTof money for the property. I could understand if it was 11, there were no kids, we just wanted to swim some laps. It was a special occasion, and when we opened our wine, we discovered there was not one wine glass in the condo? wow. I did inquire on military discount, but they did not offer one.

Beautiful beach condo

Love love loved this condo on the beach. very comfortable and very clean. Location was perfect and away from the crowded fort Myers downtown, but a short drive to get there. Lovers key was a short drive or a nice walk ti get to from our beach. The beach there was absolutely beautiful and quiet. We will definitely be back next year. We hated to leave the beautiful view from the balcony, where we ate most of our meals. I have old many people and will tell many more about this gem on the beach!! Tom and Wendy Whiting
