The stay was every bit as good as expected. The only hitch was an after hour check-in. First, communication via ‘email’ was through the 3rd party, Expedia. I didn’t think to look there as I was not familiar with that avenue of connection. Info to retrieve an after hour key should be to the primary email or text to the phone number. Second, the combination lock box that contained the key was difficult to get into because it involved a little switch to the left of the tumblers that was difficult to see until I used my phone light that reveled it. After those issues were solved our stay was splendid and we will stay there again.

Okay listen up! I’m 61 years old, own my business and have traveled the world staying at 5 and 6 star hotels and resorts. The Melven castle in Scotland, the Grand Palais in Bordeaux. In Shanghai, my room was on the 97th floor over looking the river and city. The Tiana beach inn is not the above. It is however, it is a perfect adventure for someone looking for a little spot where you get to know the neighbours, have great access to the beach, wonderful staff and a good clean room with a kitchenette. If you are looking for service and a gift store, stay at the Marriott one block away. ( I choose to save my bonvoy points for another time) And we didn’t see any little critters and if we had come across them, I am certain they would be as nice as the staff! But trust me stay there and you won’t regret it! Bottom line; Sure this place needs a little love, but it is very loveable!

The location is great!! The room itself had such a horrible stale smoke smell, and whatever cleaners are used to mask it, is equally as horrible. Everything we owned came home with that smell. Also, there was no available parking. It cost $65 to park overnight.

5 star for the location, one star everything else. The parking situation is ridiculous, there were dirty clothes in the bathroom, dirt on the floors, a tooth pick on the floor, no trash bag in the bathroom. Also, the pictures are outdated, everything is the same except way more out dated and run down. The cute patio area is over grown and dirty. The free to use beach items are gross and rusty. I wouldn’t stay here again for more than $100 a night.

It was a perfect spot super close to the beach, nice little kitchenette and everything was clean. It does need a little maintenance but still liveable.
