Hi, we're Rick and Patricia. This is the sister unit to our other Pompano Beach duplex next door, and it has hosted over 150 stays with a 4.96 rating. Guests keep telling us the same things: it's spotless, immaculate, and one of the best stocked Airbnbs they have stayed in. We built Summer By The Sea to feel like a real home away from home, not just a place to sleep.
THE PRIMARY SUITE
The primary bedroom has a king bed, a mounted TV, and its own private exterior entrance, separate from the rest of the home. It connects to its own full bathroom and a small kitchenette with a sink and counter, so one couple or family can have their own space and their own way in and out.
THE SECOND BEDROOM
Two queen beds, its own TV, and a full closet, comfortable for kids, friends, or a third couple. The main bathroom, with a double vanity and twin mirrors, sits just down the hall. With the queen sofa bed in the living room, the home sleeps up to eight.
THE LOCATION
You're on a quiet residential street, an easy walk to Publix, coffee shops, restaurants, and shops, and about a 5 minute drive (or a scenic 15 to 20 minute walk) to the beach. We keep beach chairs, towels, an umbrella, a cooler, and a backpack cooler ready to go so you can pack light and head straight to the sand. A few minutes away, Pompano Beach Community Park packs a whole second vacation: 16 lighted clay tennis courts, a dozen pickleball courts, beach volleyball, disc golf, a playground, a one mile walking trail, and the Pompano Beach Aquatic Center with its Olympic size pool. Golfers are covered too, the city's own Pompano Beach Golf Course is close by and its Pines course was designed by Greg Norman.
THE LIVING ROOM
Bright and open, with a smart TV for movies and game nights, comfortable seating for the whole group, and a dining table with room for everyone.
THE KITCHEN
A full gas range, dishwasher, and stainless appliances give you everything you need to cook a real meal, plus a second small coffee and toaster station so breakfast for a crowd never gets crowded.
THE BACKYARD
A private paved patio with a natural gas grill (no propane tanks to swap out), string lights, and a dining table that seats up to eight. Mango trees in the yard drop fruit for guests to enjoy in season.
LAUNDRY
In unit washer and dryer, with pods included so you do not have to pack extra.
STOCKED FOR YOU
Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, toilet paper, linens, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, garbage bags, paper towels, sponges, dish detergent, basic condiments, and coffee. Traveling with little ones? A high chair, pack n play, and stroller are on hand.
GETTING AROUND
Having a car is the easy way to do Pompano: the beach is a five minute drive and parking at the house is free. That said, Publix, coffee, and several restaurants are a genuine walk from the front door, the free Circuit shuttle covers the beach district (download the Ride Circuit app), and Uber and Lyft show up quickly in this part of town.
GOOD TO KNOW
Summer By The Sea is cared for by our own company, Acuity Property Management, so someone is always quick to respond if anything comes up. Quiet hours run 10 PM to 8 AM, the lead guest must be 30 or older, and this is a no smoking, no party home. The Fisher Family Pier at sunset is the kind of walk that ends up in everyone's camera roll, and fishing charters run out of nearby Hillsboro Inlet if anyone wants to bring back their own catch.
