The room was clean. The staff were polite. The hotel’s location stood out. Don’t do it, but the port is within walking distance. There are a lot of food options around the hotel. The front desk staff will provide a list. If I’m cruising out of Port Everglades, I’ll definitely stay here again.

Breakfast are is super small and always packed from 7 to 10am. Showers are BAD. Water is either boiling hot or ice cold. I visit constantly holiday inn hotels but this express at 400 per night is absurd and the quality of the hotel is bad.

Here’s a polished version of your review: ⸻ Review of Holiday Inn Express Fort Lauderdale Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Holiday Inn Express Fort Lauderdale. The staff at check-in were very friendly and welcoming, which made for a great first impression. Our room was clean and comfortable, and since this was just a one-night stay before boarding our cruise, it met our needs perfectly. The breakfast the following morning was also very good, with a great selection of options to choose from. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by the lack of assistance we received after checkout. Once we had boarded our cruise, I realized that I had left a jacket in the closet of our room. I immediately contacted the front desk but was hung up on multiple times and felt dismissed when trying to explain the situation. When I finally got through again around 4pm, I was told that the jacket was not in the closet. We are confused and disappointed, as the jacket was definitely left there. The lack of helpfulness in resolving the issue significantly impacted our overall impression of the hotel. While the stay itself was comfortable, the poor follow-up service left us with a negative final experience.
