When we walked into the room, it had an odor. We walked into the bathroom and saw a waterbug (roach) on the. Bathroom floor. There was blood on the shower wall on the bottom left side . There was a used half toilet roll. We had to request toilet paper and towels. The mini fridge wasn’t working properly; someone had to come fix it. When I called the counter. The front desk lady was rude when I told her what room I was calling from. It felt very exhausting to stay there the first night .

I loveddd staying at the diplomat. It was under construction but it was still beautiful and I stayed on the top floor and the views were beautiful.

I loved the hotel & the staff but they were not truthful about there being active construction. I called to confirm and was told there wasn’t any construction. The lobby, & pool area was loud during the day due to the construction. The breakfast buffet was not good at all. The food appeared over cooked. No new food was put out after the food had sat for hours. The other breakfast spot items all included ham,egg, & cheese. I had a burger at Prime that was amazing. The pizza at the bar was good as well. There were spots on my floor in my room. The tub didn’t seem to be the cleanest. The tablet in the room was not working properly, it had a bad glitch. I would give it an 8/10 . I would stay again.

This was my fourth time staying at the Diplomat during Miami Caribbean Carnival Weekend. I've stayed solo as well as with my daughters. We love it here.

Pictures were misleading. The hotel has ongoing noisy construction going on and you aren't warned about that prior to booking, the parking situation, if you self park, its $50/night but the connecting bridge is closed therefore you have to cross the dangerous street (also not mentioned at arrival). The pictures show a large jacuzzi tub-misleading, its quite small and only one person fits in it. I had high expectations but I am truly not satisfied, very underwhelming
