Stayed here as part of the TGO, quiet, right off the Great Glen Way about 5 minutes walk from the tourist cooridor (canals, shops and food). Large grounds. The bunkhouses are.nice, so are the castle rooms.

Affordable hostel for remote location

Great local hostel at Fort Augutus. Bunk beds for dorms and individual beds for private rooms. Bunk bed don't have curtain, but support USB charging.

Loch Ness On The Doorstep

My Son stayed here while running the Lock Ness Baxter's Marathon. It is a hostel and sleeping was in an area with a few bunk beds. As it is right next to Loch Ness, it is ideal for sight seeing and hikers that would rather not sleep in a tent. Kitchen facilities are available to 'Make Your Own' meals - Handy Over All - A Great Place To Stay

Pricing difference

The total price for 1 room was shown as £35.20 but at the reception we were charged £ 140.80. The receptionist advised to check with Hotels.com on the pricing . The stay was good and a quiet place.

Marvellous Morags

A quiet and pleasant little hostel, after planning to camp most of the Great Glen way and getting caught in a torrential downpour on the first night we really appreciated the opportunity to dry out and prepare for the next stage. Vicky the proprietor takes the time to get to know her guests and appears to appreciate nurturing her highland oasis.,She does the cooking cleaning, gives helpful advice and even sought out a pack of cards for us. I would recommend it to others and it's only a couple of minutes walk off the route.
