In this authentic log cabin from 1970, you will find complete peace and quiet, with only sheep bells as background noise in the summer. Here you have a unique opportunity to experience nature at its most untouched, with a spectacular starry sky lighting up the night sky on clear evenings.





The cabin is furnished with a perfect balance of old antiques and modern comfort furniture. The simple and authentic style with solar panels for basic lighting and phone charging gives you a real cabin experience, complete with a charming outhouse.





From the panoramic window, you have a view of the majestic Rondane, and outside, a cozy fire pit awaits. A short 50-meter walk takes you to a shelter in the forest, perfect for observing the rich wildlife in the area.





From the cabin, you can explore the hiking opportunities in Rondane National Park and Grimsdalen. Just 10 minutes away, you will find canoe rentals on the Grima River, and a 30-minute drive will take you to Hjerkinn, where Icelandic horseback riding and a visit to the Snøhetta Viewpoint await.

A charming cabin in the heart of the forest with a view of Rondane National Park. The cabin is cozy (fireplace, animal skins, candles…) and well-equipped. The outdoor area is pleasant, and the sauna is a big hit. The access road to the cabin is bumpy but passable with a high-clearance vehicle.

A truly unforgettable place. Without a doubt, the ...

A truly unforgettable place. Without a doubt, the most beautiful cottage in terms of location that I’ve ever seen. The view of Rondane is breathtaking, and the tranquility is almost beyond belief. During the entire week we were there, we heard nothing but silence, birds, and the occasional bleat of a sheep. The cottage was incredibly clean, neat, and tidy. The battery with the solar panel is more than enough for charging and lighting, and cooking went very well. The bed was also incredibly comfortable. Now it even features a luxurious sauna. But above all, this is simply an incredibly special place. Authentic, surrounded by nature, and with an atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else. It felt like an honor to be able to stay here. Mari, thank you so much for sharing this special place with others. Good to know: the road leading there is only fully passable with a slightly higher-clearance vehicle. We had no trouble getting there with a Rav4.
