A nice building in a great position Very easy to use as a base to explore Folkestone. We had 2 rooms one huge and one tiny which was bit of a squeeze Facilities were good and clean, beds comfortable, though it was very hot at night The breakfast was good, though the coffee really needs to be improved

A nice hotel with a great restaurant spoilt by a few details. Very small old lift which was difficult for older parents, the shower was blocked so flooded the room below and a fire alarm went off around midnight. Staff were apologetic but made no real offer to make up for the problems

Polite staff, nice hotel but overbooked.

Staff were polite and welcoming. Unfortunately our room was double booked due to a large party, I paid for a premium king but was downgraded. Breakfast was offered as compensation, which we accepted because we were not told until we arrived to check in and it was very busy so we didn’t kick up a fuss. I do feel we were at a loss, as it was very overpriced for an average buffet and we wouldn’t have chosen this. Hotel was clean, bar was stocked.

Really enjoyable stay for our 26th wedding anniversary. Hotel has been recently completely refurbished and every surface is clean as a whistle. Super room with Nespresso coffee machine and marge brand new TV and huge bathroom Breakfast was way about average. I would call this a 5 star experince rather than 4 star.

Can’t say it was the best hotel I stayed in. The hotel was going under a refurb and lack of sign posts to floors/rooms meant we kept getting lost. Our room had no phone signal and couldn’t connect to the WiFi and the bathroom was very tiny (as someone who is 6ft3 I struggled in the bathroom and shower. Nice location, nice hotel in general, friendly staff but probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Nice stay and would stay there again

Older Hotel which has been recently renovated. Rooms were very comfortable but would have liked the option of a queen bed. Only downside was air conditioning was a bit on the warm side even with the temperature turned down. We were able to open the window to let fresh air in. No onsite parking but there is street parking just outside and also a carpark just around the corner. Restaurant food was very good and the staff were excellent, very professional.

Booked a 'cosy' room and it was a little on the snug side, but fine for one night. Dinner in the restaurant was a bit disappointing and as I checked out at 5am, I didn't have breakfast. Hotel is clean, modern and nicely located on the sea front but the reason for my low score: the service generally was woefully slow!
