The pool

The pool gave me an eye infection because of how much chlorine was put it in instead of just cleaning it. The blue paint from it even rubbed off and we had to scrub it off afterwards. The room and hotel in general were not as nice at the pictures - it needs a makeover.

Very basic and in need of maintenance

Let’s start with the good things: the staff is nice, quite helpful, and the beds are comfortable. However, the hotel is very dysfunctional: From very small doors in the hallway to micro sized elevators, it seems that no one thought about the fact that people bring luggage when they are traveling. The rooms are very basic, dated, and in clear need of maintenance. Wifi is incredibly slow. The showers take forever to heat up the water, resulting in a lot of water waste. For that price tag, you can get way better options in the city.

Parece que a rede Intercity teve uma queda geral de qualidade em Florianópolis/SC. Quem tiver curiosidade, pode ver também minha outra avaliação sobre o Intercity Portofino. Nesta última hospedagem, em março de 2026, percebi piora principalmente na limpeza. Toalhas e edredons sujos ou manchados. No domingo, mesmo deixando o aviso na porta, a camareira não passou no quarto para realizar a limpeza. Além disso, havia um funcionário do período noturno que não demonstrava simpatia no atendimento. Em contrapartida, no período da manhã fui muito bem atendido. No geral, o hotel continua sendo bom, com ótima localização e quartos reformados, mas precisa corrigir com urgência essas falhas de limpeza e melhorar a padronização no atendimento.

Excelente acomodação, ao lado do armazém Rita Maria onde tem diversos bares e restaurantes, instalações do quarto novas. O estacionamento é cobrada uma taxa para hóspedes no valor de R$ 35,00 a diária. Da para ir andando ver a ponte Hercilio Luz.
