It is a great place in great location however the hotel is tired especially for a very expensive terrace room. It is stuck in a time warp and worn out - bed, chairs carpets. The staff in the bars were very slow and poor, particularly at the poolside bar. The addition of a shuttle bus up the hill is great unless 8 Americans want to pile in as well and were abbusive to us and the driver. For 400 euros a night I also expected breakfast!!

Lovely stay in Valletta

Lovely hotel, large comfortable room. Great breakfast. Service very slow in pool area but apart from that it was a great stay. Very convenient for Valletta town which is fabulous and the shuttle bus was a lovely bonus. Hope to return.

This was our 7th or 8th stay here. Having tried others “just for a change”, we now would not go anywhere else. Well worth booking a full sea view. Property perhaps slightly dated, and the building is not a thing of beauty, but acres of space, charming staff and wonderful pools, indoor, outdoor, children’s and jacuzzi. Special mention to Marita and Kurt of the breakfast staff.

Service from reception , to breakfast to bars was sporadic, some staff were friendly, attentive and efficient , whilst others it seemed as if they could care less and were more interested in talking amongst themselves than service customers, a 5 star hotel with 3 star service, which makes it rather over priced

The hotel was very good indeed. The eooms were spacious and comfortable, the pool area was lovely and well managed, the breakfasts excellent with plenty of choice, and the location great for access to central Valetta. The only improvement I would request is the check-in procedure. There was constantly a queue and some got drinks whilst waiting whilst others (like us) did not. Otherwise, it was excellent.
