Lovely views from roof terrace

Stayed with my brother and nephew using both of the bedrooms and sofabed so all 3 of us had a separate space. The flat had everything we needed for our holiday. We liked the area and walked into the old centre every day (about 20 mins) and up to the Piazzale Michelangelo behind the apartment. You can get the C4 or 12 bus into the centre if you don't want to walk. The outside space was great, there are doors onto balconies flat from all the main rooms and the roof terrace had the most amazing views especially the sunsets. Caught the train to Viareggio one day for a swim in the sea. We did find the key safe a little tricky to open. We loved the flat.

We had several issues during our stay including six bags of trash outside our door that stunk up the kitchen of our apartment. The host says it wasn't from her property but regardless after several attempts to have it removed it remained for the entire three days of our stay. The coffee maker, washer and microwave didn't work. The hot water worked in the shower for one person but got cold after that. There was a fire in the building (not the hosts fault) that forced us to evacuate for about an hour. Finally, I had to remove a 3.5 inch lizard from the master bedroom at 1 am on our final night. Cleanliness was also an issue.
