Space was large, comfortable, quiet. But NO tv Simone was very helpful and also ordered us a taxi for our departure. He carried two heavy suitcases upstairs when we arrived. He came to help us carry suitcases upon our departure but suitcases were downstairs already.

Recommend

Service was efficient and friendly. The guest house is clean, quiet and has amazing fast wi-fi. Room was comfortable, new sheets and towels. Nothing fancy but absolutely fair for the price-point. Air conditioning worked perfectly, which is a precious commodity in Europe LOL About 15 minutes walking from Santa Maria Novella train station and 15 from the Basilica and major tourist attractions. It is a 3rd floor walk-up, that was the only downside.

The staff and Sogni were very kind. The location was far from the downtown. It says there is a bus stop near by but the bus system seemed unreliable.

Super clean, great location, staff lovely, room was always nice temperature. Only complaint is the pillow was super uncomfortable as it didn't bend or move at all and the mini fridges were never stocked so I had to drink bathroom tap water one night. Would definitely stay again

Nice location

The hotel has a good location with a beautiful view of the old city. While not inside the center of town, it has a good location with a wide open view. It even has an open area where you can have your meals while taking in the scenery. They serve good breakfast too.The staff were very pleasing and helpful. Try to book ahead for the restaurant, Tartufo, just below the reception area.

Basic hotel that does the job

The room was quite small but that doesn't matter too much. We had booked a shared bathroom and had a very large sink and a shower in our room which was nice. You only had to leave to go down the hall to use the toilet. Everything was kept moderately clean, and rooms were cleaned every day. The beds were comfortable and it felt like there was air conditioning on when we first got there, but after that it kept getting less and less and it was scorching hot in there. The wifi was good. The location was pretty convenient. Only about a 10 minute walk from the bus station and 15 to the Duomo. It was located in an iffy part of town though, but once you were in the building it was fine. It's located on the top floor so there are a lot of stairs to walk up. The service was good, but he is not there 24 hours, so if you want something you must call or wait for him to show up. Overall it was a good value but I would probably not book again.

Cosy place for not much money

Overall, quite a good stay. The keeper, Simone, very nice guy who's always keen to help. This is not a hotel; I'd say it's a guesthouse. Rooms don't have toilets, just showers. The whole place is located in a rather aged building that needs some work undeniably.Very good location - everywhere you can easily get on foot, 15 mins walking to the main train station and within 20-25 mins majority of sights or museums can be reached. I will definitely recommend this place if you are happy to stay in a place with no stars. No frills guesthouse for a reasonable price:)

Passing thru Florence

The price was right. 20 min walk to train station. Had to pre arrange our arrival time to make sure someone would be there to sign us in. Maybe this is the norm. But overall for the price not a bad place to stay.

We didn't realize we had to make arrangements in order to check-in just know that when you do this you have to call the guy or email him in order to let him know when you will show up otherwise you'll stand on the corner and wait for them after having to make an international call, there was nothing but sheets on the bed no blankets and the air conditioner apparently leak so badly we weren't allowed to turn it on but otherwise very nice little b&b and the gentleman running it was very polite.

Good budget hotel

Good value for your money. We had a room with air conditioning, sink, and shower. Toilet was shared with a few rooms. Fairly central, about 15 minute walk to train station and major sights. Street noise wasn't as bad as I thought especially with windows closed.

Simple, clean place

Great place to stay! The host is extremely friendly, room was clean and simple. Shower clogging was the only problem, otherwise everything was great! I had a heavy backpack so had a hard time walking from the train to the hotel so I cabbed on the way back - just keep that in mind if you have a heavy bag.

Great place for a sweet dream

Simone was a good dude. Very good service. Had body wash, but no shampoo. Helped change towels daily. Shower situation was a little weird with the shower and sink in the room and no curtains. Room was spacious. Location was good as long as you don't mind a 10 min walk to city center/train station.

Great choice!

Booked the last minute special on a busy night. Great facilities-clean, comfortable and very cute! Manager was very friendly and went above and beyond to help us call restaurants, get a taxi, etc. The location was a little out of the way from the main portion of Florence but even including the price of a taxi to and from the main area we still saved money and had a great experience. Just a heads up too that there is not an elevator but the manager happily carried our heavy bags up the three flights of stairs.

cozy and convenient

We arrived on a rare, rainy, midsummer morning, and because we had already booked our tickets for the Uffizi for another day, we wanted to visit another museum to dodge the rain. The hotel manager/owner was extremely helpful; he recommended the Bargello, and even called ahead to check if reservations were needed. This hospitality sums up our happy experience here: very kind, helpful service, and more of a cozy bnb rather than a hotel. It's about a 15~20 minute walk from the train station and the Duomo in the opposite direction. Highly recommended guesthouse!
