DONT STAY HERE. This was not a budget hotel—we chose it because it was more expensive than other options and expected better quality. That was a mistake.
The room we were given while traveling with our teenage daughter was extremely small and visibly dirty. There was thick dust throughout the room, especially on top of the closets. On the second day, we found hair in the bed after lifting the sheets. The walls were so thin that we could hear everything from the next room. Before leaving, we checked under the bed and were shocked by the amount of dust and debris—it was unlike anything we’ve seen in years of traveling. All of this is documented with photos.
Parking was chaotic and confusing. Staff instructed us to drive to the hotel, then seemed confused about our car. One night we were told parking was unavailable and sent back into the city; the next morning they warned us about possible tickets. No one appeared to understand their own system.
Breakfast was poorly managed. Although advertised as 7:00–10:00, food was consistently gone early and rarely replenished, even before 8:45 AM. Staff seemed annoyed when guests asked about the breakfast issue. Reception staff were distracted and unprofessional, and customer service was essentially nonexistent. We have traveled extensively for over a decade and have never experienced a hotel this unhygienic and poorly managed. There are many wonderful places to stay in Florence—this is not one of them. Parking issue was a disaster, too.
