The hotel location is excellent. Air conditioning and elevator were functioning very well. Room service was excellent. Breakfast is limited but okay. The room size is small. WiFi was slow initially but was very good later on. We enjoyed our stay.

Hotel was beautiful. Stunning views, very clean and the staff were really nice and very helpful. Location was excellent for all the local attractions, shops, restaurants and transport. We had a wonderful dinner and cocktails here too. There is some work being done outside the hotel but this did not affect us. I would definitely stay here again if I am lucky enough to be back to Florence.

I never leave reviews but I absolutely loved my stay here. It was beautiful and the view from our room was amazing. The bar was awesome and the breakfast was good. Perfectly located—just a short walk to all the top attractions. I do feel it was on the pricer side of our budget but definitely worth it.

Elegant property in great location

We had a lovely 2 night stay at a room with a terrace overlooking the city which was magical. The staff were lovely helpful and spoke English very well. Really convenient location. Nice breakfast in a very pretty room. Would certainly recommend staying here. Nice bath products & beautiful marble bathroom with great water pressure.

Pros: The staff were all wonderful with anything we needed! Especially when we had an incident with our luggage arriving late. The breakfast was absolutely delightful. Super close to museums. Cons: rooms are small and beds are tiny. The "rooftop" is a joke. There was construction goin on right outside the hotel.

Our hotel room was lovely and comfortable and had a fabulous view of the Arno and the hills beyond, including the Medici new palace. The breakfast was plentiful and the staff were attentive and helpful.

A last minute booking in a very busy Florence as our flight and the later replacement flight were both cancelled. We totally recommend this hotel. We checked in quite late and the lady at reception was very kind and helpful. We were able to get a light meal. The room is large and the bed very comfortable. Everything is very clean and the bathroom was very good with a walk-in shower which I need. We can highly recommend Hotel Balestri.

The hotel was wonderful! The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We were lucky to have a balcony overlooking the Arno River. It was spectacular at night! The bar and restaurant made dining easy and the food / service was excellent! I highly recommend this hotel to visitors!

The top floor terrace faces the Duomo and Santa Croce, giving a spectacular view of the city lit up at night. The food was very good -- some fun, unique menu items. The staff was friendly & helpful. The only reason the couple of areas that I gave fours were that the room was on the small side, and there was some construction going on along the river -- not the hotel's fault, obviously -- that blocked the view of the river and made the area just in front look a bit industrial. Again, not their fault; just wanted to leave a heads-up that until construction is complete, the area around the property won't be as charming as I assume is usual.
