The room is very dated, the bathroom very small, especially the shower is very tiny and the water pressure is weak. The TV is as small as a computer monitor with limited channels. However, considering the amazing location of this vintage hotel and the wonderful staff I will give it a four star rating. Breakfast was okay and we were grateful it was included. The common elements, elevators and hallways do smell stuffy and scent of mold, perhaps because of the age of this property. The housekeeping staff does a good job cleaning the rooms. The linens and towels are neat and bright white. The hotel is in the middle of the most beautiful area, one block from the Duomo, very walkable and safe.

The staff was amazing! The staff at the desk, in particular, Diego and Nino were exceptional...friendly, helpful, efficient. They were great for talks and helped me with my Italian. The Signore in the breakfast are were efficient , sweet, friendly and sincerely helpful. I stayed here many years ago and now this year. I would return, especially because of your employees!

The rooms were clean had all the amenities i needed, toiletries, coffee maker, mini fridge, slippers. The staff were super helpful, courteous, they made our stay very pleasant. Location was perfect, centrally located walkable to all museums, restaurants, shopping and religious sites. Highly recommend this hotel.

We loved Albergo Firenze. The staff seemed genuinely pleased to see us and to help us with everything we might need. They often anticipated our needs before we could articulate them ourselves. The location couldn’t be better. Short walk to the Duomo, Uffizi, Academia, tons of shopping, restaurants, and gelato shops.The breakfast was excellent. Karima was the breakfast lady and she was so kind, pleasant, friendly, but also professional and efficient. Her happy smile was a wonderful way to start our days. Our room was wonderful. Very clean and pleasant. Comfortable bed, side tables with outlets at each one plus a nice-sized desk with great room for both hanging clothes, drawers, and shelves. A great window let us have a Birds Eye view from the 4th floor and let in cool air. Big bathroom with great hot shower. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it strongly to everyone!

The location of this hotel was absolutely perfect. It’s right in the middle of everything. The guys at the front desk were absolutely wonderful. You would think this was the four seasons with the way that they were treating me. The room was decent. the bed was big, but the room was older. This is to be expected in Florence. The one main issue was the size of the shower. I get it. It’s Europe. Everything is small, but this was not a small shower. This was more of a vertical coffin. I was not able to bend down not even a little bit to touch my thighs. I’d have to turn the water off open the shower door, then able to bend down and wash my lower half of my body.
