The room was acceptable. Upon arriving at the hotel, however, I was greatly dismayed by the gaping hole in the front of the building covered by multiple tarps. After discovering that the front entrance was being renovated during my stay, the innkeeper cordially invited me to the grungy side door, where I stood in the freezing cold for no less than 2 minutes waiting for her to unlock it. The hotel was fairly empty (being in the highly traveled town of Bluffton, OH), and so we enjoyed a fairly quiet stay. I'm sure you will have a more positive experience than we did if you happen to schedule your stay after the gaping hole is mended. Cheers.

Our bed was very comfortable and room clean. Breakfast was standard eggs, sausage & biscuits & gravy & waffle option. Renovations still going on in pool & some areas, but not a factor in our stay. We would stay again if back in the area.

The room was clean, but the bathroom had an extremely loud fan. The toilet seemed to have issues flushing at times. The TV was not easy to work without instructions which i had to call the front desk for. Apparently, it has been under renovation for about a year and workmanship is not the best. Staff tends to be scarce. Bed was good.

The lights of the suite i stayed in did not work, no bed side lights, no light came on when you entered. The outlets on the bedside did not wokk, the only lights outlets that worked bathroom and desk lamp. Because I checked in late I was "ok" with it but completely disappointed.

Building was being worked on so there were some inconviences but room was very nice and efficient. Good location. Not far from Ohio Northern University where we had various events to attend over the weekend. Had issues with billing but I think that was more of a hotels.com issue. Staff were pleasant. Caveat: Make sure you enter at the road alongside the gas station or you will be going to the wrong place and have to turn around. They make it difficult to determine which is the right road. Sounds weird but not only did we go onto two different roads that looked like they were the correct entrance but were not but we also saw others do the same thing. PITA. Especially at night.

Double Billed

I prepaid to book the room through your site and when I checked in they charged me again. There was no urgency of refunding the money and had I not had a “cushion” of money it could have put me in a bad spot being so far from home. They double charged my son’s account as well. They were friendly but I just feel like there should be a system in place to avoid being double charged.

Currently the hotel is going through a renovation. The new rooms are very clean and neat. They’re still working on some of the open common areas, but I think overall the hotel is going to be very nice when it’s finished.
