Stayed in superior beach house at the Bay Filey. Lovely quiet resort a two minute walk down to the beach. Onsite pub and chemist and shop etc.
The superior beach house was basically a large lodge style dwelling and we paid an extra £45 to take the dog with us.
We had all the mod cons - tvs in all rooms, two on suite bedrooms, can fault the accommodation.
Would have liked to stay longer and we will be back.
What a beautiful village feel right next to the sea. The facilities were an added bonus, especially the pool and the Beauty Room.
Staff were all friendly and helpful.fact Plenty of recycling points for waste.
Staff need to check the accommodation before letting. Unfortunately, several appliances didn't work:
Oven, shower temperature controller, and broken curtain rails.
Always opt for a first-floor apartment, never ground, especially if you have a herd of elephants above!

The Bay is a lovely place with super polite staff, including a very courteous Security Man. It is relaxed and has good access to the beach. The grounds are well kept and clean.
We received a great doggie pack on arrival
My disappointment was the property where only 1 window functioned (locked) out of 4 The bedroom and bathroom locks did not work so felt exposed! A sign do not use in the lounge. The carpet was dirty and the wood furniture outside the room was ancient and rotted! There was a stained worktop and burns to the cupboards- presumably from the lights. The mattress was awful and very uncomfortable absolutely no frills. The plastic mattress protector made you sweat so poor sleep
Disappointed for the cost there are no basics included eg. towels and shampoo/bath gel. WiFi code was wrong on key ring so on arrival night I had no signal.
The Bay is great for families, especially if you have a dog that you want to stay with you on holiday. There’s a good choice of accommodation options from apartments to houses and beach chalets.
There’s private access to the huge beach via a pathway down through the parkland.
The path is quite steep as you near the beach so not good for anyone with mobility issues, although many people with mobility scooters were managing ok.
There’s an on-site pub and bar, which is fairly good for basic food. The Bay is roughly halfway between Scarborough and Bridlington where there’s a big choice of cafes, bars and restaurants.

The property needed some TLC; lots of marks around the walls and evidence of leaks in the bathroom not properly repaired. Most disappointing was the bare minimum of everything within the cottage; no more than one fork, one plate per person etc. And the sofa was one of the least comfortable I've ever sat in.
The surrounding village and area is great, just a shame it felt like the bare minimum was spent on equipping and maintaining the accommodation itself.
Had a lovely weekend celebrating our friends birthday i thought the pub prices were very expensive for food and drinks we only had a couple of drinks and left would have stayed longer and ordered food if the prices were reasonable. £90 to take my two small dogs which I found ridiculous.
Lovely well set out holiday accommodation. Like a modern housing estate. Nice 2 bed comfort clean cottage. Well equipped kitchen. Only negative bath didn't drain and had shower above and no towels or hairdryer provided by host. Had to go buy towels in Filey. This to us is basic essentials.
Excellent apartment and well appointed with everything you could need.
The main criticism is of the arcade they have there.
Many of the things in there were not working such as the pinball, pool table, air hockey, grab games, and the penny slot ones had no rubber strips on some of them making them impossible to shove coins forward, so basically taking your money with zero chance of winning.
It needs a complete revamp or closing totally
We liked the property it was very clean and smelled nice upon entry. It was in a great location. The only thing of concern was the shower in master bedroom flooded floor of bathroom, there was clear evidence of that constantly happening, the shower is on the wrong wall it just needs moving.
Really lovely flat. Bed was comfy, area was nice. Shame the nearby shops are overpriced but that's to be expected. Loved the gym and pool, staff were friendly. Don't forget to bring your own towels!
