Staffing appeared very limited during our stay, and guest safety and service suffered as a result. The parking lot and walkways were covered in solid sheets of ice. Given how minimal the cost would be to properly salt the property, it was disappointing and frankly concerning that this was not addressed, as it posed a clear safety risk.
Exterior security doors were held open with zip ties, effectively bypassing the locking system. This was brought to staff’s attention, but no action was taken until I personally cut them off MYSELF. I did not feel comfortable with the risk of an unmonitored exterior door allowing anyone to walk into the building.
Additionally, our key cards deactivated early on the morning of checkout. Staff were unable to reactivate them, which created frustration and inconvenience. We were unable to lock our room while moving belongings to our vehicle.
Breakfast service was also poorly managed. Kitchen staff were largely unresponsive, coffee and breakfast items were frequently empty, and staff appeared more focused on socializing in the back room than attending to guests.
Overall, these issues created unnecessary stress and raised serious safety and service concerns that should be addressed.
