From the moment we got to the hotel we could tell it was a mistake. It looks a bit run down. I checked in and was told that there was a door on the end of the hotel that we could go in and our room was right there. The problem with that was that anyone could just walk in because you didn't need a key card to open it. I was told by the women at the front desk that the door isn't locked during the day because they were having problems with the door. This was after dodging the trash can with messy buckets in it right in the middle of the sidewalk. The room looked bleak when we went in. There was a hole in the ceiling, the curtains at the window were so long that they covered the heat/ac unit and they looked like they hadn't been washed in years. The window was so dirty it looked like it had lost it's gas and was foggy. The room had a funky smell to it. My daughter took one look and said 'no way'. We immediately left and found another hotel that was in better shape with no problems. We didn't even go to the front desk and check out. We didn't want any parts of this hotel. I have stayed at other LaQuinta's with no problems but this one cured me of staying in another one again.
