Lovely house in a beautiful setting. Decor old fashioned but OK. Most staff helpful and pleasant. No hot water on first day and, despite informing a staff member, it was only lukewarm on second day. Poor breakfast on first day - some food not available (eg bacon) and only one staff member on duty while also covering reception. Driveway full of potholes.

The mattress was too soft. At breakfast, there were no pastries and when asked i was told they were all gone over the weekend. Bathtub was not draining water away and when showering you stood in dirty water. On the positive note, the location was great, the gardens were nice. The building has a good character feel.
