A hotel with potential…

First the bad stuff…There pricing was up there with some bigger chains so expect more from a hotel. I received a room that looked clean-ish, but they hadn’t changed the sheets. Just made the bed again. There was a clear indication that someone had slept in the bed before, plus there was hair by the pillows. I asked for milk for morning coffee, which I received (milk packets), only it had gone out of date 6 months before. I was down as soon as breakfast opened. The yogurt tasted like it went sour. I watched the staff as they worked the room, not once did I notice they said good morning with a smile to any of their patrons. Looked more on the grumpy side. There was no climate control in the room so I had to have the window open, and was quiet noisy with people under the window. The good stuff…The front desk staff was friendly. The rooms were nicely done up and my second room seemed really clean and fresh, newly renovated. The beds and pillows were surprisingly very comfortable. And the town quieted down to have the window open after 22:00. Strangely enough, this alone if I had to stay in Falköping again I would want to pick this place again. So many hotels skimp on comfort and I actually had a good sleep there. Besides cleanliness being top priority, comfort is a huge part. I truly hope they get a good manger that is customer service minded. I think this hotel potentially be a nice place to stay.

Hotellet hade ett bra läge med gångavstånd till bowlinghall, parker och flera restauranger i området, vilket gjorde det smidigt att ta sig runt utan bil. Hotellrummet var ganska standard och något anonymt inrett. Sängen var väl fjädrande för min smak och rummet blev väldigt varmt under sommartiden. Luftkonditionering hade varit ett stort plus. Den flyttbara klädhängaren gav också ett något enkelt intryck. Samtidigt fyllde rummet sitt syfte som sovplats och fungerade helt okej för en kortare vistelse. Badrummet var däremot mycket fräscht med en stor och trevlig dusch, vilket höjde helhetsintrycket. Restaurangen Teaterbaren var en positiv överraskning med god mat och bra kvalitet. Frukosten höll också en bra nivå och erbjöd det mesta man förväntar sig av en hotellfrukost. Personalen i baren förtjänar extra beröm för sin servicekänsla. Ett exempel var att de förvärmde glasen till Irish Coffee, en detalj som visar omtanke och yrkesstolthet. Hotellet erbjuder dessutom en stor och bra parkering med några laddplatser för elbilar, vilket är uppskattat för den som reser med bil. Sammanfattningsvis är det kanske inte hotellet man väljer för ett extra mysigt eller lyxigt rum, men med bra service, god mat, fräscht badrum, bra parkering och ett utmärkt läge blir vistelsen ändå klart positiv. Betyg: 4 av 5.

Frukosten var bra. Mindre bra var den unga oengagerade frukostpersonalen. Duka av efter de ätande var jobbigt och att torka av borden från smulor och spilld sylt eller yoghurt gjordes konsekvent inte oavsett person. Tråkigt då det inte var mycket att göra för dem alls. Städarna vet jag inte vad de gjorde. Mitt rum var likadant alla tre dagar med grus på golvet, samma handdukar etc. Enda skillnaden jag noterade var ett kladdigt skoavtryck efterlämnat av städ i badrummet. Fredag kväll samlades ett stort antal av traktens ungdomar på parkeringen och skränade i sommarnatten, polis svängde förbi några gånger och då lugnades feststämningen. Kul iofs för undomarna men jobbigt om man vill sova. Nyckelkortet till dörren slutade fungera några gånger. Överlag tre av fem stjärnor.

Övernattning efter affärsbesök i Falköping.

Jag tycker att rummet var litet. Annars var allt var helt och rent! Inget att klaga på men dyrt och frukosten var inget speciellt. Tror att jag fick betala någonstans mellan 1400-1600:-/natt.
Med vidvinkel ser rummet lite större ut! Badrum med dusch helt OK.
