The breakfast was very good and the staff were so inviting and friendly! This hotel has so much charm I would recommend it to anyone who needs a place to stay in FairPlay. I’ve stayed here 3 times and every single time was enjoyable! Lots of books to read by the fire place on cold winter nights

A small table with a chair will be helpful. This was my second stay. You end up eating on your bed if bring food. Staff is the best. They have good breakfast made fresh every morning.The prices are nominal and the food is good.

Frequently stay in the Fairplay area for work and the Hand hotel has been by far the most enjoyable place to stay. The other option (Riverside Inn) has always been extremely noisy and the staff don't seem to care much about customer concerns. The Hand hotel staff were excellent and it was convenient having the cafe down-stairs... just be aware it isn't open every morning, but there are other options close by. It is a historic building so keep that in mind when booking.

This vintage bed and breakfast was a great stay. Room was comfy and clean, breakfast was great, and the back porch was awesome for relaxing and wildlife viewing (lots of beavers in the lake and TWO black bears!) Would definitely stay again!
