The property was beautiful and grand. Check in was very chaotic with no instructions. We wandered around until we found an envelope on a desk with our name on it. Then we had to wander around to find our room. It was delightful wandering with a lot to see and the grounds were breathtaking!

Front desk person Heidi was so unhelpful. She never pointed out hand written sign in Danish giving WiFi. Neither the sign in Danish that the luxurious dinning room had no alcoholic drinks. We said no to breakfast which she put on our bill anyways Dinner was so unbelievably slow that people were knocking on the kitchen door. This is a magnificent property but they need staff who are trained.

Our two teenage daughters, got to live out there princess dreams! Ask reception how to get into the tower - it’s a hike, but the view is amazing! The castle is generally a little rundown (but nothing that ruins the grandeur of this once stately home) Both our rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean! Based on reviews, we had decided not to have dinner at the castle, but there are some cute options near. We did have breakfast and it was excellent, with everything you may need to start the day with a full stomach - we took her out to sit in the gardens. There was a lovely free feeling to being able to roam the property and gardens. If you’re traveling through Fyn, I would add this as a stop (it was our daughter‘s favorite part of the trip)

Furnishing in general rooms were fabulous. Electrical outlets in our room did not work. Person in charge brought new lightbulbs and extension cords. Wiring definite Y needs updating. Our shower had black mold. The biggest issue was guests not allowed to use eleva5or and NO help around to help older Expletive lug bags up 2 flights of stairs. Breakfast was adequate. Not recommended for any one over 50.

Værelserne var rene i smukke omgivelser. Stedet er smukt, men trænger til renovering. Internettet virkede ikke på vores værelse (3 sal.) Tjeneren i restauranten var vildt sød, men vidste ikke så meget om maden vi spiste eller vinen der blev serveret. Spurgte 3 gange hvilken fisk han serverede. Priserne i restauranten er alt for dyre jf. niveau. En vin menu skal ikke koste 500 kr, hvis det er helt skørt sammensat og personen der har “lavet” den, intet ved om vin. Betalte 250 kr for en forret, det synes jeg er meget dyrt.

Hvis du har lyst til at opleve at bo på et slot med et historisk vingesus, så er det et sjovt og romantisk sted, der taler til fantasien og med en dejlig stor slotspark at spadsere i. Ved ankomst hvor vi allerede ved booking havde gjort opmærksom på vi kom ca 1830 så var der ikke gjort klar og de havde kun en nøgle til en Jørgen martisen??. Vi fik så hans nøgle og kunne tage vores værelse i brug, herunder konstaterede vi så at det ene gardin hang i kun 2 klips og det andet i 5 så man kunne ikke trække for uden at sætte sikkerhedsnåle i. Vandet i håndvasken løb ikke ud det sivede og der var ikke gjort rent bag blandingsbatteriet samt mug i fuger i brusekabinen. Vi gjorde damen i receptionen opmærksom på det og viste billeder og hun noteret det men der skete ikke noget i de 3 dage vi var der. Der var heller ikke noget WiFi på værelset. Og da vi er selvstændig erhvervsdrivende, er det et must at kunne komme på WiFi, så vi kan komikere med vores kunder. Damen I receptionen prøvede at fortælle os at vi måtte sidde ved receptionen og gå på WiFi. Ikke optimalt for os, når vi skal arbejde. Man bør tjekke sin regning da vi opdagede at de havde taget for morgenmad alle dage men vi spiste kun morgenmad første morgen. Vi er godt klar over det er et gammelt slot.
