While it is listed as pet friendly, there is nothing to say there is an additional charge until you get to the hotel. Additionally, while I understand it’s a free breakfast with the stay, it was waffle, cereal, yogurt and apples. Additionally it says to not leave pet unattended in room so could not go eat as a family if wanted bc then pets would’ve been left unattended. Perk was I did arrive earlier than expected and given a room, on the 2nd floor which with limited accessibility to exits with a dog, was not the best choice & I was sure to ask that it was a pet friendly room. Would have expected a first floor close to exits not 2nd floor in middle of hotel.

The only thing I might add.. a bigger bath mat, and bathrooms with the heated lighting? Our trip was like a “gift to ourselves “.. a very simple day at Cape Charles ❤️

We were placed on the second floor of a facility that did not have an elevator. At 66 & 68 yrs.old, had to carry out luggage up a stairway to our room. No "hot" breakfast, as was advertised.

The hotel was clean and well-maintained, which I appreciated. However, the beds were quite uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. The check-in experience also left something to be desired—the staff seemed indifferent and lacked warmth. While the basics were covered, the overall experience could be improved with more attention to guest comfort and hospitality.
