This property knew when I checked in that the A/C did not work. They told me that it would be working soon. When I went to my room, it was very warm. I asked the asst. manager to help me solve this issue. They had no plan nor authorization to make this right. I suggested that they purchase a fan, and again, they needed authorization from the GM.who was AWOL. I asked them to contact the GM, and they told me that they had tried and he had not responded. The staff offered me a free dinner and drinks. How does that solve the problem of a hot room?
I had to sleep in a hot room with a window open 6". The noise from the main street was loud, as well as a barking dog. The light from the city was bright. Suffice to say, my night at this Hilton was terrible, with not much sleep in the heat. They comped me breakfast, and when I asked to speak to the GM that morning, they informed me that he had not come into work yet. This was a disaster, no plan to assist the customer and an AWOL GM. I should have my room fee refunded.
