Check in was not good, they did not know we were coming. The room was pleasant but there was no heating and lights did not work. When I booked I assumed the room had a bathroom, my fault. 6 bedrooms share one toilet and shower. There is a communal kitchen for making tea etc. The restaurant was closed but we were given a tasty supper. Breakfast was not on offer unless we waited till After 9am. Would we stay there again? NO!

It’s a pub, but the pub was closed. The bathroom was shared between 4 rooms, no breakfast, poor condition, wifi password was wrong, no staff.

Stayed for a couple of nights. The location is very convenient and the inn is situated in a nice quiet location by the river Avon. Nice walking routes around the inn. The room was clean and presentable. It was off season, so sharing bathroom and kitchen facilities was not an issue. Good selection of food and reasonably priced drinks. The only issue was considerable noise transfer between the downstairs pub and restaurant and the room upstairs. They host karaoke nights on Friday and Saturday nights until late. It would be helpful to provide guests with ear plugs as the rooms get loud.

Room clean, though one towel between 2 of us, and it had that horrid damp smell so didnt leace ua feeling clean. Unfortunately check in staff were confused about the booking, not in diary & had to check what was available physically. Wasn't given the room I chose, should have been panoramic with large double bed & river view. Shared bathroom meant that we could hear numerous people opening & closing the door next to us and creaking along the landing. Only 1 towel for use, no glasses in room to be able to get a drink of water, nor any bottles of water provided. Ideas definitely need updating. The bed, pillows & duvet were comfortable. In the morning we tried to get into the main area to get breakfast at 09:45 but nothing was open and no one about. We left & drove to a cafe instead. Won't be returning the this accomodation.

Great experience

We had an amazing weekend at the Fish and Anchor Inn and highly recommended it to anyone looking for a relaxed and value for money getaway while visiting Stratford or the Cotswolds. As it's an inn we checked in at the bar, then accessed the room via a separate entrance at the rear of the pub. The pub does karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights, and the patrons are very welcoming. Our room, no. 6, was amazingly large and inviting, and we loved the firm bed mattress. As mentioned in the hotel description the bathroom and toilet are shared, which was no issue for us. There was also a full sized kitchen with a small breakfast table for self-catering, so be sure to bring own pots, plates and cutlery to use it. The bath towels were small, so you may want to bring your own as well as a gown. Definitely highly recommended and we'll be back!

From initial booking through to our stay was good. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable, although no en suite the bathroom was modern, clean, and easily accessible. The area around the premise is very picturesque, and although we didn't get on any of the nearby walks there was plenty around and easily accessible. Meals were good in pub, and good selection of beers. There is an adjoining kitchen with kettle, cooker, microwave, and fridge freezer for use by the guests. Would recommend.

The room was Good Value for money, and both clean and comfortable. Unfortunately it seems that a single bathroom has to be shared by at least four of the bedrooms which whilst not a problem during my stay (not all rooms were occupied) would deter me from staying again when busy.
