The original room we had been given, had gone to use the bathroom and there were poop stains covering the toilet seat. Upon bringing it up to the front desk we were given another room that had can tops still on the floor as if not properly vacuumed and cleaned and the bathroom had mouse droppings in it. Had it not been they took a 50$ unannounced deposit and needing to go to sleep right then I would’ve asked for a refund and looked elsewhere.

Not ideal for a longer stay

We stayed 5 nights at the Howard Johnson hotel in Evansville for the Fall Festival and to visit family. This hotel needed major renovations and updating. It felt like we were in a hotel from the 90s and no upgrades were ever done since then. However, the hotel staff were friendly. Special thanks to Ms. Peggy, one of the housekeeping staff, who exemplified amazing customer service. She was very so personable and hospitable. She made our stay more pleasant. We did encounter a bug during our stay and that was all she wrote. Though we had some positive experiences, that is not enough to return for next year’s stay. This hotel is only meant for a one night stay and not for an extended stay. We will be staying in another hotel in 2026. I hope Wyndham will make some major changes to improve the appearance of this hotel.

Definitely not the Hilton but it was clean, beds were comfortable & staff was great. It’s just that the room doors were SOOOO LOUD allllll night long slamming shut every 5 seconds. No sleep :(

Friendly service and the rooms are clean. I would recommend taking your own pillow. The pillows were all lumpy like polyester was just clumped and shoved in a pillow case.
