The property was beautifully furnished with period appropriate pieces. The living room and dining room chandeliers made us wish for a party to fully relish the experience. This property would make an excellent Bed and Breakfast! Our room was also very quiet and the bed super comfortable.

Property is beautiful and historic. Owner was very knowledgeable and informative about the house and neighborhood. But there were so many rules we felt uncomfortable staying there and afraid to touch anything.

I can't imagine anywhere else I'd rather stay in Eureka, CA. So close to everything that I'd want to experience or see in this wonderful town. All 3 nights were perfect for us, our host was delightful and the ambiance inside was breathtaking. We were in town to see the Redwood Forest to the North and South from here, and it was such a welcome contrast and definitely added to our romantic getaway. The next time we visit the Redwood Forest, this will be our first option for our stay!

We arrived at 3:20 pm for a 4:00 pm check in. The hostess was extremely rude and informed us she was the only one working and we had arrived too soon Most of the property is closed off. Only the kitchen and guest rooms were accessible. There was no sense of experiencing a Victorian home Towels and other amenities were below par
