Overall 3 ***. But. Know what you’re getting. Generally Clean and great location on the ocean. Rooms are extremely dated and need a major renovation. Favorable? No carpets so you know the floor is clean versus carpet. Friendly staff No one will confuse this place with a Four Seasons. But looking at the ocean from the bar or back lawn is good

Beautiful views but just okay.

Beautiful view of the ocean from our room. Hot tub and pool both had sand, bugs and just wasn’t kept as clean as I would think for the amount they charge per room. The restaurant and bar was confidently located right in the hotel. But I expected the hotel to much more updated, modern and clean for the price.

Upon arrival to check in I knew we would not be staying. There were broken, plastic chairs sitting on the grounds. The interior lobby looks worn and in need of an update. I asked to see the room. The furniture had scratch marks from an animal. The fabric chair in the room was worn and stained. Ceiling tiles in the hallway were missing. We were booked for two nights, and we asked for a refund since we didn’t stay. They charged us for one night anyway, even though we had to find another place to stay. Very disappointed.

Good little spot we have now chosen to stay at twice. The room smelled great and had awesome ocean views. The only thing I would say needs improvement is the pillows. They were like throw pillows rather than stand bed pillows. They were nice but not what I would imagine when staying at a hotel. The location is also being great with a block or two walk to the brewery, which is highly recommended.

The exterior place was unkept and needed maintenance. There was a constant overflow of trash in the trash cans as you enter the building, including the flower pots. That being said we kinda knew what we were getting into. We just look for a place to be down while we visited the area for the first time to check out the redwoods. The views were spectacular.

I don't typically give a review but thought this one was important enough to do so. When we checked in there was nobody available, then a young man in his late teens or early 20's came and checked us in. It seems it is being taken care of by extremely young group of people. They were friendly. There was a young child riding a bike in the halls and the lobby. It felt very hectic! The food was good. It wasn't very clean and the pillows were square couch pillows. I had to ask for normal pillows. Around 10PM I heard a loud cracking sound that continued for about an hour. I was uncomfortable to open the door to check it out but finally did and found a couple of young men playing pool. I told them I was sorry but each time they hit the ball it echoed throughout the hotel and sounded like a fire cracker They apologized and stopped. I personally would not stay here again.

The hotel was nice. The view was very nice. The restaurant looked nice but we could never get in. my biggest complaint about the hotel was The two young men at the front desk. They were doing their job, but they stopped very frequently and just talked among themselves when they should have been paying more attention to the customers and it happened more than once. Not even a word of i'll be with you in a moment, nothing. Act like you care about your job.

Loved that the rooms were pet friendly and had an ocean view. It was great to have a restaurant within the hotel and the food was good. However, there was no real area to walk the dog for potty purposes. Although the grounds around the hotel were roughly mown, it was full of holes from ground squirrels or something. There was no place to deposit dog waste bags.
